Always amazes me when people call up the highlights of a creative player for his his defensive characteristics and work rate

As a percentage, how often has he broken down in pre match warm ups?
He’s proven to be an effective player, the only thing that amazes me regarding Lamela is the lack of appreciation for his influence.

What is he effective at?
When it comes to the crunch we need players who are available more than half the time their getting paid for (his record is appalling on availability)
We also need versatile players which he offers to a point but as we all know he is a zoolander and can only go one way
I don’t see his influence in the team that you refer too
I always look to see who would put rivals want form the team and out of all our attackers he would never ever get a mention... that says a lot
He isn’t a bad player but he is limited and his limitations mean he has to make up for things by running around like a lad man and jumping into tackles (quite a few unnecessary). He did that vs United where he slid in hard and put the ball out for a goal kick. It was pointless
And on the subject of breaking down in warm ups... who knows. But for a player to get injured in a warm up means their not fit enough

Think I was quoting the Swiss ramble figure that included CL money (which actually includes CL TV and prize money) £90m....then add your £140 prem money on...£230m .. ridiculous amount.
I wonder if a similar season for Arsenal back then would total a third of their stadium debt?

That is the point for me as well, he is one of the hardest working players i have seen since Perryman( and i have applauded him for that many times), however he has not reached the heights as much as we wanted/ hoped ( i accept that he has had a LOT of injurys).
There is no doubt he is a good player but if he is unable to play more often then maybe we should cash in on him.

The new Book ' Legacy Gangsters Corruption and the London Olympics' is out. It's a really good book.
It's about the history of gangsters in East London particularly David Hunt. However there is a whole section about the corruption in Newham relating to him, the dildo brothers, and Tottenham's bid for the stadium etc. Well worth a read.

We were corrupt? As far as I recall, we offered to knock down the monstrouserty and build our own stadium, moving athletics to a purpose built facility somewhere else. Would have cost the taxpayer nothing, and was a straight, honest offer by Levy.
Instead, they gave it to Spam, subsidized by taxpayers across the length and breadth of the country - poor folks in the North and in the Midlands, being taxed to subsidize a fat, wealthy, incompetent Premier League club with good lawyers.
If the corruption is on anyone's side, it's on Seb Coe and the Committee that backed him in instituting this example of socialism for the wealthy, rugged individualism for the poor.

Starting to feel quite sorry for Levy and I have been mildly critical of him over the years.
Only been a boss once in my life and that was 2 years at a haulage firm. When I had employees like Poch I found a way to get rid of them.
Poch is slightly different because he has performed well. But if he does not like how the company works he should be honest with his boss and go and find somewhere else to work before it starts disrupting the rest of the business.
