I was overhearing a conversation with someone about a box you can get to stream all games, £30.00 or something and you plug it into the HDMI on your tele and it works off your wifi, as I was ear wigging I couldn't work out the full details...anyone know whats the deal with these things?

There are cat videos on youtube for as little as £30.00?

Ahhh are they Kodi boxes? Any help with them? Worth it?
You can put Kodi on an Amazon Fire TV stick (which is about £30 IIRC). You can also put it on any computer or laptop you have at home with an HDMI out.

The difficult thing is getting content. I use mine with a DVBLink backend to record live tv. The same box downloads all my torrents and is my backup of all the films/tv shows that I legally own.

If you just have a Kodi box and you don't have a digital library of stuff to watch then you're relying on streaming. Some legal services can be watched within Kodi, but most will be reliant on P2P sharing and will come and go over time. Genesis, which was recently the best one by far now has almost no sources.

Once you have Kodi installed on the AFTV stick there are plenty of custom builds you can download which other people have setup and made available which have all the content/links/menu options in place.

You have to be fairly competent with a computer but there are tons of tutorials on YT which guide you through the process
