Hi. I am new here. Had this question in my mind but nobody to ask it to so that made me sign up and maybe I will stick around.

These are the winning goalscorers in Cup Finals during my lifetime. Who will go down as the bigger legend?

I think goalscorers are a bit overrated in that sense.

So for me Romero, van de Ven and Biss were the particular heroes of 2025. And Keano ran the show in 2008.

Woodgate and Johnson were very high for me, but I’ve gone for Nielsen, having sat watching us in the 90’s it was actually nice to have something to cheer about having endured some of those years!

Johnson may havd got a touch on it but it wasn't heading towards thd goal until it hit Luke Shaw, it has nothing to do with liking or disliking Johnson.

Really liked Woodgate, but the guy who helped break our trophy drought and win the first European trophy in my life time for sure. Hard to argue with his record as well -- even though I'm sure about 50% of the fanbase would be happy to argue it (yeah but he didn't track back!!!)

Wouldn't classify either as legends, but their contributions won us three trophies and for that I'm forever grateful. Woodgate for me was the better player, and so he will get my vote.

Don’t think they has ever been the issue with Johnson. It’s more that he literally only contributes to the game by finishing chances and any time he gets the ball outside of the box we’re losing possesion.
