Oh yeah that is worth watching.

I feel like I should have said Sopranos - which I watched intermittently but the characters were all so horrible I just didn’t want to spend time with them.

Boys from the Blackstuff is worthy of a mention. Unpolished compared to those that have been listed and dated now but it was iconic at the time. And some great acting especially from Bernard Hill but others as well.

Never heard of it, but just went and watched the first two episodes. Very good, but there's only so many subtitles I can read late at night.
