The club literally have to say nothing if they aren’t sacking him
That’s the right thing to do

...however they at least owe him and the coaching staff an inside track IF they are keeping them. It's appalling IMO (if they have not given them that), not shocking though. We have previous. IF Postecoglu had been given assurances, I think the nature of his comments would be very different.

I stand my belief they are sacking him, albeit I'd be delighted to be wrong.

I think the fact that all of us are standing under the lampost speculating based on nothing more than our own gut feelings says it all.
And again, without knowing all the details, it feels once again like we are falling short at the vital moment with regards to building on momentum versus looking like a weather vane in a gale.

I'm not, and not just because I have reservations about ange, but because as a club we have a habit of squandering our opportunities.

But I’m not running a club
But… I don’t think the club need to say anything
I was “let go” in my last job and it came out of nowhere after a sterling year with great numbers (company record) but some brick basic stuff
It came out of nowhere and has lead to others leaving out of choice
I didn’t expect it but I understood it and it worked well for me
In my experience organisations don’t tell anyone anything that didn’t happen

Would have been so easy, and as @Mcfee said, general consensus was dead man walking pre final win, if you want to control the PR (if you can and you intend to keep manager), it could/should have been done.

We really don’t know what goes on being closed doors at football clubs until after it happens
The vote do confidence is much rarer than people think
Look at carrick getting the boot today vs Inzaghj leaving inter (they thought he was staying). The media didn’t have a clue either way on both
