So are you really confident that we would improve next season if he stayed on?
Mate.
I've bored everyone sensless with my detailed opinions.
They're in here if you really want to look back through the threads on him.
So are you really confident that we would improve next season if he stayed on?
How do you back him as a club ?
The club literally have to say nothing if they aren’t sacking him
That’s the right thing to do
Just drop a grenade and appoint Jurgen Klopp … it would keep half the fans here moaning while getting all the scousers knickers in a knot.
I’d be sitting with popcorn
So are you really confident that we would improve next season if he stayed on?
I would sack him myself because the league defeats were too much...however they at least owe him and the coaching staff an inside track IF they are keeping them. It's appalling IMO, not shocking though. We have previous. IF Postecoglu had been given assurances, I think the nature of his comments would be very different.
I stand my belief they are sacking him, albeit I'd be delighted to be wrong.

But I’m not running a club
But… I don’t think the club need to say anything
I was “let go” in my last job and it came out of nowhere after a sterling year with great numbers (company record) but some brick basic stuff
It came out of nowhere and has lead to others leaving out of choice
I didn’t expect it but I understood it and it worked well for me
In my experience organisations don’t tell anyone anything that didn’t happen
He may well already know (Ange)Football is a different beast. At the very least, letting Ange know would ensure he does not give quotes such as those he's giving. The fact he is givng them, and the fact that nothing has been said, suggests strongly to me he's offski. Again, as we both keep saying, we don't know so this is all just, well, 'us' trying to figure out what we cannot LOL. It's tough work LOL!

Your speculating on wordsTake your pick form Chairman's message (as just one example)
I’d like to thank Ange and the players for making this incredible achievement possible and thanks to all of our amazing staff – there is so much hard work that goes on behind the scenes and this moment is for everyone to enjoy.
I’d also like to thank you – the fans – for staying with us and carrying that same belief. I know it’s been hard at times and I have shared in that pain and frustration along the way. But when we all come together, we know we can achieve something special.
Your support – whether that was in Bilbao, in our own stadium or in pubs and homes around the world – was the driving force behind our team.
This is one trophy – our clear ambition as a Club has always been long-term, sustained success, competing for top honours every year. We have now tasted success and we are determined to use this as a springboard for more.
Let’s enjoy this moment as a Club together, finish the season strong with a win today and go again next year.
The use of "this moment" and the failure to add any context, e.g. thanks Ange and look forward to building with him next season, we are determined to use this as a springboard with this squad and manager, we can achieve even more with this team and manager?
Would have been so easy, and as @Mcfee said, general consensus was dead man walking pre final win, if you want to control the PR (if you can and you intend to keep manager), it could/should have been done.
Your speculating on words
Have Other clubs done the same with other managers after winning?
What did Saudi Sportswashing Machine chairman say or palaces
Feels to me like people wanna see things they wanna see or not..
Again, who was expecting to fire him?Of course I'm speculating, we all are
- I'd ask how many clubs win something with a manager they expect to fire?
- The simplest example is United last season with ETH, and they didn't say anything, they actually admitted they were interviewing other managers, then changed their minds, and that didn't quite work out.
Again, from a base PR perspective, if we were 100% keeping him, a simple thank you Ange and looking forward to start of next season would have killed all this speculation we are currently in, and if you were 100% sure, what reason would you not do that?
Done what?Madrid have done it plenty of times.
Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Palace don’t have the expectations we do. They have spent as many years outside the PL as in it. 17th for us is an absolute disgrace.
Done what?
Said we’re keeping the man in charge
Yepwon trophies with managers they expect to fire
Yep
But we have fans saying they would issue some kind of words to confirm anges status
Different thing
Again, who was expecting to fire him?
The fans
The key players at the club are all on holiday now
I’ve never worked anywhere where you say someone is staying, when they were already in post
It doesn’t happen in footy either form what I can immediately think of
Only the negative
That is rare and again IMO just something that the media wantI think that is quite common too, the classic "vote of confidence" when results have been far below what is expected.

Yeah media reportsMate, I can literally post pages of media reports/coverage/speculation pre final that Ange was gone at end of season, including by reporters that are considered connected to club.
It happens all the time in football, vote of confidence/backing of the club, it happens so often it's considered a curse "dreaded vote of confidence", see @Baleforce statement as well.
Cool we disagree, all good, as I said, in my experience in very big companies, things can be said by saying them, as equally by not saying them. None of us know, and we will all find out at some point.
