I wish they were strong figures on the pitch.I find the whole concept of a leadership group ridiculous, but they're obviously chosen because they're strong figures in the dressing room.

Why do we need a groupGray and Bergvall will be but it's a bit too much to throw them into a leadership group when they are only establishing themselves in the team. There's enough pressure on them already.
Milan can’t afford himKulu should def be captain next season (providing Paratici doesnt poach him for Milan)
It happens in all walks of life. Do you remember how schoolkids behave when they sense a teacher isn't up to the job. Or hecklers at bad comedy. It's just human nature if you're being made to suffer on account of someone who is overstretching.
We've only one leader in the team and that's Kulu, yet he isn't part of the leadership team, it's a joke. Son is a legend but not a leader, Madders is a nice bloke but not a leader, and Romero doesn't look committed to us. None of them should be near a leaders group.
He didn’t have a choice as the club have a contract to put a certain amount of players out for interviewsAgree on all counts. Just a quick point on Maddison’s interview after, I thought it was a very good interview considering the circumstances. He clearly didn’t want to be there and said as much, said the fans probably don’t want to listen either but he didn’t hide away.
I think it’s more like Ange was in awe of them.I find the whole concept of a leadership group ridiculous, but they're obviously chosen because they're strong figures in the dressing room.
Son does in fairness, looks like he's going to cry every time he does one.He didn’t have a choice as the club have a contract to put a certain amount of players out for interviews
Why isn’t Romero or Sonny ever doing these ?
That’s your choice. Gonna struggle to find a fan base where it doesn’t happen though so you might need a new sport.
The guys a melt. I have never had dislike for a manager as much as I do for Ange. Crying out for an actual winner like Conte, Mourinho and I would have Poch back in a heartbeat. This club is ruined under Ange currently and its getting more toxic as each week/game goes by.I don’t agree with the fan chanting but, yes, on the face of it, the decision was baffling. Bergvall was one of our better players and he got hooked while lads who were playing poorly stayed on. The fact that afterwards Ange didn’t say the sub was pre planned or attribute it to illness indicates to me that the fans were right to be baffled.
Chants like that, rightly or wrongly, are an occupational hazard in football. You may not care that other fan bases do it too but the point is that it’s a very human reaction to the sort of frustration Ange is generating. It’s not specific to Spurs fans like you insinuate.
What is unique here is the manager’s reaction. I’ve never seen a manager react like that before that I can recall. In my opinion it was petty, small time and unprofessional. That he, in my opinion, lied about his reaction afterwards just compounded the situation.

Obviously have compassion. But people doubling down on their incompetence can be hard to stomach.

fudge me dead. I don’t like people singing “you don’t know what you’re doing” and suddenly I need a new sport? How fudging patronising.
Fits in very well with the clueless Aussie stuff though. Well done.
Sonny rarely does themSon does do them. I still think the way Maddison fielded the questions was good under the circumstances. Showed up our manager who acts like a big fudging baby when dealing with a similar line of questioning.
He’s not wrong though. It just what happens in football. We aren’t a unique fanbase as many like to point out. I actually think Ange has got a relatively easy ride from the fanbase as a whole considering the awful results he has delivered this season. If anything Levy is the one who has been getting the most stick.
Now you're willfully misrepresenting what I'm saying.fudge me dead. I don’t like people singing “you don’t know what you’re doing” and suddenly I need a new sport? How fudging patronising.
