You have a point but it’s not exclusive to Spurs fans. It’s been sang at many managers who have made baffling decisions like taking Bergvall off.

The point is, other managers ignore it because that’s the professional thing to do. Our manager didn’t and then, in my opinion, lied about his reaction post game. And it’s not like this isn’t part of a pattern of him getting involved in spats with fans.

I don’t care about other teams.

Baffling? I’m sure Ange had a reason. Bergvall was ill during the international break, seems like a fair reason. Enough doubt there to land somewhere between clapping the player off and “you don’t know what you’re doing”

Ange’s response was daft but why on earth do you use that to excuse the provocation that took place?

Our fans have form with this brick. I fudging hate it.

Tbh with Ange I have little sympathy.
It’s not abuse, it’s simply in this case a fact for a man who lacks a remarkable amount of self awareness and constantly deflects for his ineptitude.

He’s run out of excuses, the fact he banged on about a correctly disallowed goal and had the audacity to say it was irrelevant that the decision was correct, really says it all about this clown we have in charge.

Enough is enough, there has to be some sort of freak amount of luck to even countenance he can get us a Europa league win

Jesus Christ mate, really? You don’t understand what I’m saying?

Let’s just give up. You and I clearly live in different worlds.
Not really…. I said Nuno’s treatment wasn’t deserved. Although I understand the frustration that has built up over the years because of dissipated hope.

With Ange, nope there is no way the fans are more to blame than this manager. And chants in his direction as long as it’s not bordering on unpleasant personal abuse but at dissatisfaction that this situation is being allowed to continue, I can’t see the problem.

I do see an issue with someone saying you would rather see away fans who paid hard earned money to watch that rubbish, leaving the club before a manager who is a shambles though

Has a man with such a poor record ever survived this long before? Seems pretty rare in the modern game doesn't it? I seem to remember Palace sticking by Hodgson for a long time, but that was mostly because he achieved the goal of simply keeping them up each year. I'm trying to think of someone who has been as poor as Ange but avoided the sack for such a long period?

In what world is slagging off your own manager helpful?

Spurs fans are clams. Every other week there's protests against the owners, all happening with different groups with the own issues and often looking to build their own profile. You've got fans goading and abusing the players and managers for social media videos. Brennan Johnson literally disabling social media to get away from the hate.

There's a trend here. Ange has not been perfect, I've said that many times. But own fans are very much part of the problem. This situation is absolutely not getting any better with the next manager. The same thing will happen.
He's had way more time and patience than he's deserved. More than ive ever know for someone failing. Except maybe Ray Evans.

Its not just about being 1-0 in that match, its about nearly 2 years of abject failure.

There was a time you might of felt sorry for him, but now its gone full Liz Truss teritory

Honestly how are you all reading my posts and not getting this? I don’t care if it’s Ange, Conte, Poch or fudging some bloke from the pub. I don’t think singing “you don’t know what you’re doing” is ever acceptable — and most certainly never fudging helpful.

Him, Conte and Mourinho are a pretty unwanted hattrick on that front

Sure, Conte pretty much eviscerated the club, which is going to hurt because it was an accurate assesment, but at least he never stooped to petty squabbling with the fans (from what I can recall).

Ideally everyone would be lovely and only the people who exhibited the bestest, fluffiest behaviour would get rewards. Life's not that way so if you're going to act a clam, it's more palatable if you have the record to back it up.

If it makes me a brick fan then fair enough, but as I'm almost skint until payday, for some reason I didn't fancy watching us lose against Chelsea whilst paying over a tenner for 2 beers, I don't regret the decision. It's the first time I really feel a strong disconnect with the team, it's all a bit hopeless and the tired excuses have washed away.

In summary, I'm fully in the Ange out camp, but would still remain as disengaged if Mason took over.

I don’t agree with the fan chanting but, yes, on the face of it, the decision was baffling. Bergvall was one of our better players and he got hooked while lads who were playing poorly stayed on. The fact that afterwards Ange didn’t say the sub was pre planned or attribute it to illness indicates to me that the fans were right to be baffled.

Chants like that, rightly or wrongly, are an occupational hazard in football. You may not care that other fan bases do it too but the point is that it’s a very human reaction to the sort of frustration Ange is generating. It’s not specific to Spurs fans like you insinuate.

What is unique here is the manager’s reaction. I’ve never seen a manager react like that before that I can recall. In my opinion it was petty, small time and unprofessional. That he, in my opinion, lied about his reaction afterwards just compounded the situation.

Your readiness to excuse any and all behaviour is perhaps why I feel so out touch. Fans like the ones singing and you who excuse it are not who I wanted to be associated with.
