Here and now slightly less attractive. Loads of injuries, potential relegation battle looming. No pre season to work on the players, just game after game.

Overall more or as attractive. Better squad being the primary difference (including not having our best player on the way out).
Theres no " potential" about it. We are already in a relegation battle and i cant see many easy points coming our way.

I don't want to sound like I am defending Levy, I simply want to be objective.
1. I don't believe our players are poor, I think they are being managed badly.
2. Yes, we have only one won trophy in 25 years, and Levy/Enic are the common denominator, however determining why they are responsible is difficult. 3rd biggest net spender in the last 5 years. OK, our recruitment hasn't been brilliant, but Levy doesn't choose the players.
3. The complexities behind building a stadium are immense, so don't underestimate it
4. You want Levy sacked, well who's going to sack him? He is the 2nd biggest share holder, and he makes large profits for Jack Walker. If he doesn't step down he won't get sacked, end of!

We are in a dreadful situation at the moment, and there is one thing I can promise you, if Levy walks away tomorrow nothing will change for the short to medium term. However, if Ange gets sacked and we get in a manager who knows what he is doing, things may well change quite quickly
You make some reasonable points when you step away from the anti women and kids hyperbole.
(Though I think you mean Joe Lewis rather than Jack Walker. The latter being an example of a one-hit owner).

If Levy steps back, what makes you think the investment or spending strategy would be any different? ENIC will still own the club.
Well I can't predict the future. I can point to the past.

In an ideal world Enic sells up and gives someone else the chance to make us successful. A quarter of a century of failure and the fact we are a banter club makes me want to roll the dice. This is brick. Has been forever apart from a couple of years of Poch. And the generational talent of Harry Kane. Take away his goals and where would be?

If levy did leave, which he won't. The taps would be turned on immediately. We've got cash to burn. 300 million is stadium name rights for one.
How do you know? The stadium makes us attractive for a leveraged buy out a la Man Utd/Glaziers where a tonne of debt is dumped on the club, secured against the stadium by an investor that is content to reap the income from concerts, NFL and PL without investing any more than they need to.....

You can't do a leveraged buy out in the premier league now.

But I'm sure you knew that.

Ah ok. You have been talking about Levy leaving. My point was ENIC would still be the owners. Now you are talking about ENIC selling. Different scenarios.

This is very much the case. The entire south stand were singing they wanted Levy out on Sunday. I can't help but wonder how many of them meant Enic, and how many really meant Levy. Just removing Levy and replacing him with another Chairman will make little or no difference, because they would only be Louis's puppet. If we had another buyer (which won't happen because of the asking price) the chances are it would be an investment group, and just like Enic their only concern is to make money. Unlike the South stand, I believe the answer is the right manager, the right director of football, and a very good scouting team.

Dunno Steff, I’ve seen a fair few posts along the lines of:

“Not Mason again, anyone but Mason.”

“What does he do?”

“He only plays his mates anyway”

“I hope when Ange is gone, Mason goes too. He’s been a common denominator in recent failures”

If it’s not dislike, it’s certainly disrespect.
I don't dislike him, nor do I mean to disrespect him. In fact I think he is probably a lovely bloke who has done ok when being caretaker. My thing is, he has been under every manager change and been part of all the backroom staff. I feel like he just needs a change and can come back, and I feel we need to have an entire wipeout

Indeed there was:).
I think he's probably looking at the game calendar and working out various 'strike' points depending how results (and probably the injury situation) are going.

I think it's generally thought any new man needs 10 games?

I suppose if we get past Liverpool though...he'd almost have to give Ange the final BUT what if our league form is still a disaster??
and that is the conundrum Levy finds himself in.
in my opinion that descision to sack Mourinho on the eve of the final is the one that gets bought up the most ( and Mourinho also highlights it a fair few times which doesn’t help).
He’s now faced with a similar situation but with a far more perilous position and form in the league and he’s not sure what to do.

I do think if we exit both domestic cups,
he’s gone

At this stage, unless everyone is fudging high at the club, Ange's future (as in, to the end of season) is based on Liverpool game, it's the only conclusion with any crumb of logic..

Either way, I don't think he's here next season.

Poch wanted NDombele. Poch did the phone call thing with NDombele to persuade him to join.
Levy backed his manager in this instance. (And before anyone chimes in I know he then sacked Poch anyway).
Levy undoubtedly backed Poch on the NDombele, LoCelso and Sess signings.
Poch was a good manager of our fantastic first team group but as soon as they began to tire or wanted out, he was really poor at identifying players. Son was his only good external signing. The only two others who added anything to our first team were Toby and the mighty Kenyan - both of whom he had worked with previously at Southampton. This was his main failing imo.

It is a complete travesty that we haven't yet brought in a single outfield player in this transfer window. If there was ever a time to throw money at a problem, this is it.

Not sure he actually did work with either player at Soton, but it doesn't detract from your overall point, one i disagree with partly but is well argued
