More proof that our manager won't use the resources available to him. Reggie has left our manager with egg on his face this season. He's a player at his prime who I would churn eventually. Not using him is stupid. He's played well. Same thing happened with Gio, who Ange wouldn't even put in match day squads. Another one who we needed to churn but should have optimised his talents whilst he was still our player.

There is never one thing that leads to Ange not being the right fit, but there are clues in every single topic that is discussed. They add up to a lot.

In your narrative. Multiple managers didnt fancy either. One was one of the most successful ever in the premier league. The other won the premier league and is now on course to win Serie A. Ange has been successful everywhere he’s been.

But I’m sure you know more than them.

He was the guy that signed the checks. He was also known for being very involved in football matters. Its in Pochs book and he has only ‘changed’ since Conte left. Conte and Moureeno said he was too involved and a nightmare.

Even so. He is responsible. If he wasn’t a nepo baby he would very much be held accountable to his multiple fudge ups in the last quarter of a century.

So he shouldn't back the manager and give them the players they want? Noted.

Yeah. Its awesome how he backed Ange…

Well Jose bought him from memory. Then Reggie had the year of horrific injuries which I wasn't sure he would come back the same player. The Conte was completely useless at LWB. He thought a 33 year old left winger could cut it as a PL wing-back because he played one season there in Serie A.

Perhaps I do know more than them. Our LB performances have been shocking since Danny Rose, until Destiny came along. He gives me hope. It was the same with Walker.

When these top managers get some performances out of our players, I'll back them to the hilt. The incumbent is doing anything but.

As the man at the top and the one signing the cheques he is the one ultimately responsible for the overall shape of the club, yes - however that needs to be a view taken on a broader scale as opposed to breaking down each individual decision or action the club has made over a 25 year period. The issue isn't the Ndombele signing in of itself it's the mess made of our transfer & scouting department from around the time we moved out of WHL through to when we appointed Paratichi.

Ange has been on record talking through the transfer process at the club - he's very much involved in the selection process and signs off every incoming and outgoing player by his own admission. Once again, he is on record saying that these players were signed to make an impact this season, not just for the future.

I do think you do know more than Jose Moureeno and Antonio Conte and Ange about being a professional premier league manager.

It’s obvious having read your previous posts.

You get it.

You asked the question.

Go on then, which of those players specifically would get someone the sack for signing them?

I answered and now you change the goal posts. I could go on with many other Levy signings. Richarlison is another recent one. But i answered with the our highest ever signing….He left on a free.

That’s indefensible. Unless of course you are a nepo baby playing ceo. Then you can carry on role playing a job you have demonstrated over a quarter of a century of proving yourself inept.

Member when he said the stadium was going to be delivered on time and cost?

Lol. Just lol. Thats another red flag that would get a non nepo baby ceo the immediate sack.

We have an oligarch. Some folks are happy with that. Im not

Yes you answered and then i responded by expanding on it to highlight why i think a bad transfer isn't reason in of itself for the man at the top to get sacked. That's discussion of the original point, not moving the goalposts.

I mean i could have just listed every big transfer that has gone wrong at rival clubs to show that what you were proposing wasn't realistic, let alone something that club chairman get held accountable over with the kind of regularity you were implying, but that would have been a waste of time as it should be bleeding obvious.

Dude. I’m quite sure you would be up all night white Knighting for Daniel.

I don’t care about other clubs.

Although I would be genuinely fascinated if you had some sort of 25 year of fudge ups for clubs our size that had our history of failure.

I’m thinking Liverpool. Arsenal. Manchester United. Emirates Marketing Project. Chelsea.

You know….The ‘top 6’ Then extrapolate what they have won in the last 25 years and what we have won. I’m sure it’s the same.

Happy to be proved wrong.

I'm not white knighting for anyone - in fact if you read back my posts i was actually critical of the way the club has been managed post WHL move, I jist look at things on a broader level.

Regarding that list of clubs - this is part of the problem, some of our fans have an over inflated opinion of the club & history, our peers historically are not United & Liverpool or post money City & Chelsea, for the most part our peers have been Everton Villa Saudi Sportswashing Machine pre money City and Leeds - big traditional clubs that never really dominated outside of a short spell of success here and there throughout their history.

lol - had this discussion before. I think people on these types of forums know way more than they give themselves credit for. They live their lives working in excruciating detail by tracking every single move their clubs make. Whether that be on the pitch or everything else around the club, they become subject matter experts. They also work as a team sharing their opinions together to get a pretty decent balance. Obviously the most transparent part is what plays out on the pitch itself. There is no inside track to that piece.

The worst thing we can ever do is disrespect a fan's opinion because they're not on a THFC payroll or played out their own career in the game.

I promise you, I'm just a good old fashion Tottenham fan. A very concerned one at the moment.

Well I apologise if i caused offence, your recent and past posts have always defended Levy.

Always,

It’s no problem. A lot of folks don't get it,

No worries mate, and I assure you i will never take offence personally at what you say as Tottenham fan. I will always buck at Levy though.

When Levy goes and I can go back to whl I’ll buy you a pint.

It does annoy me what he does, But it doesnt affect my life. Far too busy with work and family

I defend and critisize him where I see fit - i don't need to justify myself on that. If your response to the points in my response to you is to denigrate me rather than address them that says a lot.

As above. I’m not here to fall out with Spurs fans. I apologise if i have caused offence. I pretend i dont care to make it easier. Then i get involved and it turns out i do care, probably too much.

Once levy is gone you get a pint too.

Might be stale by then but the offer is there

Fair enough - it's an emotive time right now and we all have our thinking as to where it has gone wrong and why.
