Honestly mate, there is no chance of us winning Europa with him IMO. The amount of “on our day” performances we’d need would be ridiculous. I’d have more confidence in winning that if we appointed someone like Rafa Benitez on an interim basis (not saying I want FSW by the way).
We don’t need that many IMO because of the two legged function
We will have players back but of course we will also have players injured too

With two legs you still need the ability to grind out a few boring 0-0 or 1-0s, we don't have that ability.
At the start of the season I was fairly optimistic about our chances to win it, sadly that has long gone.

They go together though. If we tightened up at the back, then the goals wouldn't be going in in their goal.

Management is about finding the balance between the two. When has that ever been the case with Ange? I don't even know whether he is capable of getting a defensive record of 30-35 goals over a 38 game season. That is even if you had the players to score 80-100 in the other goal. That is what our club need. Not another Ossie.

I was trying to hold on with Ange to prove to myself that given a full compliment of players he could perform. I actually think we're wasting everyone's time going through that process now, just to be the good guys. He's a dispensable asset. Just pay him off and move on. He's not on a huge salary anyway.

I also have a feeling this is the very reason we've just raised the £35m capital. It means we can switch managers and not impact the development of the squad. That hasn't been the case when we've paid the severance to guys like Jose and Conte.
Welcome to the Ange out club ha

I don’t think you do

We will see on that front

I admire your @thfcsteff levels of optimism but our form, Ange’s lack of European pedigree and our inability to win tight games says to me that it’s misplaced.

If we win it with Ange, I promise to buy you your body weight in Neck Oil at our first home game afterwards.

You'd think with all that practice we'd have learnt by now.

I don't think it will happen as they're terrible but if we lose at home to Leicester he's gone.

There is no chance we lose against Leicester. They are the crisis team that we enjoy beating and forgetting that the rest of the season exists. It will be a 4-1 win and there will be some who bury their head in the sand but I think that’s a decreasing number.

I hate neck oil
Amstel is fine
It’s not me backing Ange but more about the teams in, what we do have in our locker and just a feeling I’ve had since October when I booked the hotels in Bilbao

You're wrong. When things go against you as a club, things just go against you - the 3rd goal against Everton being an example. Forwards miss open goals, defenders score own goals. Refs don't give pens and free kicks etc. We shouldn't lose against Leicester, but who knows how many players we will have fit after the European game on Thursday? I wonder if Sunday might be a repeat of Jol's last game, we'll all know who Ange's replacement is, before he does?

Apparently the club are still backing Ange according to A Gold.

I get it.

There is no single reason to remove him. There is just a load of medium reasons that on their own don't mean P45. Collectively though, they add up to an obvious removal of Ange.

Hmm... are we looking at this the wrong way?
Ange, with the formation c)ck-up that yesterday seemed to be from all accounts, is he not actually showing that perhaps he DOES see the need to change some things tactically?

Obviously you only need to get more goals over the two legs. We're not going to consistently blow teams away in one of the legs. We will need to keep it tight in at least one leg in most rounds. If Everton can score 3 against us anyone can.
