That's an easy thing to say when all those managers had prime Kane and Son who did most of the heavy lifting. Give Ange those two and things would be very different right now.....

I doubt it personally, his game plan (from what I can make of it) wouldn't suit either

Potter is quality
Still can’t believe he isnt working

He's at major risk of becoming like Alan Curbishley imo - the longer he spends out of the game, the less purchase he has in getting a new job as his old exploits are forgotten. Spend long enough on the beach and you'll end up like Curbishley did - unable to get a role and ending up a full-time pundit.

Yep
He turned down Ajax according to the Dutch guys I know

Potter turned us down too. The fact is, managers are finally growing wise to the impossibility of coaching under Levy and ENIC - where, as you know mate, you get no support, but are instantly made the spacegoat when things go wrong as they inevitably will with a team full of teenagers and bargain bins, either in fees or in wages.

Conte, as always, was right when he said we had loads of managers on the bench, all with histories of trophies and success - but they were all made spacegoats for deep systemic failures that ultimate trace back to the men who own the club.
Potter, the Potter that failed at £1bn spending Chelsea, that potter?
Maybe that was a blessing.

Iraola is the perfect guy for us
But even he can’t work miracles with the lack of players he would inherit
He has shown during his time at Bmuff he can improve players and make a team better
Think I saw somewhere he has more points than Ange now in the same period of time

Did he fail or did the club fail
This is the club that abbots summer had its players in marquees because they didn’t have enough changing rooms
And before people say look at the new guy… he is benefitting form other people’s work and doing his stuff really well too

I take your point, though personally I believe that any manager would have struggled in those first couple of season as Chelsea bought their team.

Now their ambition is paying off, but there was inevitable turbulence early on. Potter himself isn't a bad coach, just not one suited to that environment.

That would make him absolutely terrible at Spurs though - all the same upheaval, but without any of the ambition.

We've got a much better squad than Bournemouth. But he's got Bournemouth 4 points ahead of us.

We just need to use the squad much more smartly - Spence, Regulion, Lankshear and even Dorrington should have had minutes over the last month, so the rest of the players aren't so injured and fatigued.
