The "If we go down" thread

Well if we went down our starting 11 first day of next season would be vastly different to if we stay up so need to take that into account After reading your post I checked on Leeds who got relegated in 2004 and I bet a large proportion of their fans thought they’d bounce straight back. They...

The "If we go down" thread

There’s an assumption there that we’d bounce straight back up and while that’s likely, it’s by no means a certainty and we shouldn’t talk like it is

Hope you’ve got enough of whatever you’re smoking for the rest of us!

    OMT Badgers vs Eagles

Absolutely they should be ashamed of themselves but at the end of the season, not now. Now they have to fudging dig in If we’re going to discuss shame, the people leaving at half time or the ones I saw heading off on 75 mins should also be ashamed. The club needs us more than ever right now...

    OMT Badgers vs Eagles

Great post. The current rhetoric is to slam these players left right and centre but in actual fact, they are top quality and you don't get to where they are as professionals without having some fight. Does this mean they are beyond criticism? Of course not and some of them more than others None...

    OMT Badgers vs Eagles

Yes saw that too! This was my first PL game at the new stadium and I hated the sanitised feel of it like not replaying their goals on the big screen but only ours as if somehow we can’t take it. And no highlights at HT, I’m positive that used to happen at WHL Walking out the stadium was the...

What was the trigger in our downward trend?

Completely agree - these two helped elevate us to higher league positions than we would otherwise have struggled to reach Also, as someone mentioned above, instilling an attitude that we don't have to try to win every match to a young group has potentially lead to this situation. I get why Ange...

The "If we go down" thread

According to BBC, opta have crunched the numbers for relegation and apparently we have less than a 5% chance of going down. Not totally sure how they work it, presumably a number of simulations with various factors thrown in?, but that figure sounds remarkably low considering where we are in the...

    OMT Badgers vs Eagles

No thanks!! Ones probably enough. Although I went to three EL games last season and we won them all - tho it was against the likes of qarabag and the team who’s fans were waving fish about

    OMT Badgers vs Eagles

I’m going to this, my first prem match in the new stadium and my brothers first trip there for anything. I’m hopeful without feeling in any way optimistic

The "If we go down" thread

If there was some kind of guarantee we would bounce straight back up then I’d sort of be inclined to agree with you but that guarantee doesn’t exist and relegation could possibly be an unmitigated disaster fudge of epic proportions which would make a boardroom reset not worth the price

    VAR: Sponsored by Chelsea

I hope we don’t accept being fobbed off and insist on getting some proper answers and explanations

    OMT Badgers vs Eagles

Or…. Goons bottle everything, we stay up and fluke the champions league with a last minute Danso header where all our players queue up to push Gabriel in the back and VAR turns a blind eye

    OMT Badgers vs Eagles

A slight bit of hyperbole but I get where you’re coming from! Thursday is massive but the real crunch games are forest and Leeds, win both of those and I think we’ll scrape enough points elsewhere to stay up. Lose both and we’ll probably get what we deserve

OMT - Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur

The club need to go full fudging out demanding an explanation from the PGMOL about the massive inconsistencies that we have seen recently. On a personal level, I want to know if two hands on the back of a defender is a foul or not and then I expect that decision to be the same every fudging time

OMT - Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur

Ditto and it is depressing but I’m not wasting my time while VAR is in its current state. Just seen the Fulham goal on twitter and it’s a disgrace that’s given after last weeks was disallowed

    Racism in football

I don;t think many people think hurty words are worse than, say, a stabbing at a synagogue or anywhere for that matter. But you're referring to a hurty song as worse than a hurty word and I don't understand how you can reach this conclusion. I'm guessing you might be Jewish, apologies if this...

    Racism in football

So racism against Jews - bad. Racism against black people - banter. Maybe that’s not what you meant but that’s how your statement comes across
