Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina are also hosting games, partly to make a token recognition of the 100th anniversary, but mainly to provide a route for Saudi Arabia in 2030 (eliminate three continents from the rotation). Instead of the single game each currently planned, they could play a whole...

It's certainly not a problem for American football, which has far more expensive kit and it's not a problem for schools in poor neighbourhoods, where most NFL players come from. I assume it's structural. Most schools will try and play football and few will play soccer. Chris Richards grew up in...

I think it is a mistake because of potential effects on family and others at any game he could have a reoccurrence. His family will obviously support him, but he should think of them first. José Canale deserves a shout. So many blocks and scored the winning penalty. But as Gabby said, in true Lineker style, it was a Gill too far for Germany.

I'm sure this will be popular here. When Saka came on Tuchel switched Maduke to the left. This can only mean he's considering him as replacement for Gordon on the left. He's thinking of starting both Saka and Madueke. He also tested replacing Anderson with Eze.

Yes, that does seem to be the case. It will also affect how the ball spins or swerves. Perhaps late movement which the goalkeeper responds to slowly might make the ball seem faster on TV.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

They've changed the shape of the ball, trying to make it more spherical. Instead to the traditional truncated icosahedron made from 32-panels, this ball is only made from four panels and the seams and texture change the aerodynamics. The Jabulani in 2010 only used eight panels and created some...
