World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Like no planet to play football on :)?

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Hence why I checked out mentally and emotionally years ago. Feel indifferent about it this morning.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

It wasn't any different to what we did in the Europa League final.

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I think the French and the Spanish have had their moments of rule there. I'm not sure if Argentina ever have? It's 300miles from them...why do they think it's important to them?. There's hundreds of islands 'owned' by various countries around the world that just chug along as they are. I'm...

I'd bet those players have little knowledge of the complex history. Just the passed down Us v Them rhetoric

    Lucas Bergvall

I doubt he's fronting out anyone at the club about playing minutes? It's probably the same as Vuskovic...hoping to play at Spurs then you sign Hecke Sensei Fernades Tonali Gallagher and are understandably thinking 'where do I fit in?'

Unfortunately unfurling a banner at a football match doesn't make the Malvinas 'yours'....gonna take a bit more than that. Might get a bit of a cheer in that moment but you go back home and reality sets in.

    Djed Spence

I thought it was as good as Ledleys tackle but on second thoughts probably not, as the difference is Robben was rapid and Ledley caught him...I don't think Simeone is (plus he's not very good) :)

    Djed Spence

I think you need to watch it again...and retract your nonsense Argentina has passed it around our midfield and fed it thru to the forward who looked like he was in the clear...Djed moved in to snuff that out, as that where the imminent danger was. Basically, just like the other game, left to...

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Little old Cape Verde and then Egypt showed that you need to carry a threat. Argentina can be wild in defence...you need to be able to test that.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

I'm sure you could bring O'Reilly on at LB and just tell Spence to stick to Messi like glue. Probably a more effective tactic...based on the amount of times Messi has dragged them out the brick

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

It's funny really ....we pack the defensive line and the line in front of them.... yet Argentina several times had loads of space in those packed areas. You just might as well not bother as you've actually added more risk. Bizarre.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Absolutely. They were wrong BUT Tuchel thought he was winning games like that. He thought they were right...and as football is, they weren't being moaned about when winning.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

We do? Spain France Argentina don't bother we that.
  15. ricky2tricky4city

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

They can't say Tuchel got it tactically wrong. It was the same tactics as the other games. Just against a better side it doesn't work.(Most of the time)

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Exactly. No different to the Mexico game. Hold on to what you got, park the bus tactics works UNTIL the players you're facing get better. Especially a warrior team like Argentina.

Has he brought Toney or Watkins on?
  18. ricky2tricky4city

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Miles of space for McAllister to shoot....Miles of spaces for Martinez to head it. Just like watching Spurs

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Tbh its an old England trait....scared of what you've got to lose...rather than be brave.

Fernandez is very good at long shots...does it enough for Chelsea
