    The BHA game was by far his best performance. Like every other player, if you ask him to do the things he’s good at he’ll play well. But if you ask him to do things outside his optimal skill set he will probably disappoint. It’s not rocket science.

    As crazy as it seems, I wouldn’t be surprised if both VV and JL are both still in their current positions next season even if we are in the Championship. That’s the level of indecisiveness we are currently stuck with from the “decision makers”.

    0-2. Opening goal goes in off the ref but VAR allows it. Second is from a corner which bounces around off seven different defenders before going through Kinsey’s legs which are being held by two BHA players. Again VAR declines to intervene. We don’t create or score but run around a lot.

    While he isn’t the passer that Romero is, I still rate him as perfectly good enough in that area of his game. He is a very good all round footballer and I believe he’s underrated simply because he’s our third choice option.

    As someone who grew up playing in the 80s, if an opposition player put one in on you, you were inclined to give one back to show you weren’t going to be intimidated. Whether you appreciate it or not, Romero is a bit of a throwback to that era.

    But VAR is applied by humans. Honestly think AI would do a better job of applying the technology if we’re looking for consistency. “Clear and obvious” has been completely lost in the details. We need more ex-players and less lawyers involved.
