    Next Manager Thread (2026 Edition)

I think "that guy" is simply someone who can get a tune out of us so we can win games against Fulham, Brighton, Sunderland and Leeds. We do that and we are essentially safe. That could be Redknapp, it could be Allardyce, it could be bloody Ted Lasso for all I care. That's literally the...

I guess the "never gonna know" moment here is that if he had given the team more emphasis on the league we might not have got to the final of the EL.

Kane and Sonny were on big bonuses if I remember rightly. So the basic wage was £200k per week for Kane but with bonuses turned into around £300k or similar a week. Look at me casually discussing a person earning £1.2m a month for kicking a bag of air round a field. Madness.

What I mean is he knew his job was for the chop when he elected to back the EL horse, and let the league go. He put the trophy ahead of his job.

The Overlap - some interesting comments from Ange

Sports Journalism is so flooded with ex pros trying to forge a career that 90% of the dross that comes out is pointless. I love the Fighting C.ock, but they have nothing to say that is in any way progressive or thought provoking every week - I listen to share in the ups and downs of other fans...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

this is a great post. There have been significant companies across the world who have had to do a root and branch review of their operations in the past to get to the bottom of in-built failure which has dogged them - these were massive companies at times - Lego, Ford but probably most...

The Overlap - some interesting comments from Ange

Ange is still on the payroll as we will be paying his departure in stages and there is an NDA in place - Spurs and all clubs do it - so he's discussed what he can and likely can't go into some stuff without losing his payout. Lovely to see him looking so relaxed though, the two settlements in...

The Overlap - some interesting comments from Ange

It's big news and lets be honest Ange is a very good speaker. The mindset of the club has been highlighted by Vinai recently so its in the public domain that the approach to wages etc has to change - he's got a job on now as if he's not careful he will take the club down in his first season in...

This has just dredged up such a raft of emotions from the end of last season, and reminded me of what an effing stupid decision we made. We might not have been top 4 this season, but he deserved the chance to be the guy for another year, for the selfless way he put the club's trophy drought...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

bang on as usual Steffers. There were issues with Levy, but there is no way that he would have put up with Romero's personal media campaign, or a limp wristed manager not able to get things cooking. I don't mind the swap of Gallagher for Johnson in all honesty - Johnson is not exactly...

I think you will find that the reaction in the stadium (empty seats) made them look up in the board room the other night and take the issue seriously. As such they are now planning as we type. I don't know if anyone else has left of the coaching staff - lets hope that doesn't go the same way...

    Next Manager Thread (2026 Edition)

It has to be said that he managed us to heights that we hadn't been to in a long time or, barring one pot thanks to Ange, since. The one caveat to this I have to flag is that he had young Kane, young dele and young Sonny. He also had two or three truly exceptional servants to the club in...

I think with Poch he would come back whatever league we were in. Let's face it if last time around is anything tognonby he would need a nigh on total revamp of the squad anyway.

Interim Manager Discussion - Igor Tudor joined until end of season

Imagine it. A Tottenham team walks out on the pitch. There's a stirring soundtrack and flashing lights, the niceties are done and the teams face off. Spurs, to the backdrop of a deafening support, come out like men possessed, driving forwards, snapping into challenges, winning the ball back...
