    The oil is important, but it isn't for the oil. It's the political strength controlling that oil has. More so, the global importance of keeping it out of the hands of Russia/Iran/China.

    The right aren't marching through parliament every week, defending the likes of those countries. It's perfectly ok to be silent on everything, protesting against Jews and then being silent on Iran is, at best, hypocritical.

    Are you seriously arguing for not removing someone like Maduro? Have a read up on him and then tell me how you're going to defend that opinion.

    I'd argue (as will the US, I'm sure) that as a dictator, and not the elected leader of a country, Maduro isn't afforded the protection that political leaders are in international law.

    Far from it, I think his economic policies are terrible. But that doesn't mean everything he does is wrong. Toppling someone like Maduro is an unambiguous right.
