What about the law of snitches get stitches? In future, he might be better off telling people he's mates with Jimmy Saville. It would be less embarrassing.

Your mate is a fudging traitor and should hang his head in shame. You should be ashamed to be associated with such an arse cancer of a human being. It was seconds. They hadn't even checked them for weapons and the terrorists started heading back inside.

We haven't had austerity. The press may have called it that, Labour may have called it that, but the reality is a massive increase in tax and spend over their time in govt. When the Conservatives left government, the tax burden was the highest since WWII (until Labour fudged it even more)...

I'm not sure under what circumstances anyone would send them back into a building that has yet to be cleared. I understand that some people are desperate to find guilt and that they've assumed the terrorists were being ushered back in to be shot. In order for that to make any logical sense...

You got nothing else to do with your day? Not sure about you,.but I can't follow employees about the place - I have to trust them to do their jobs properly and independently.

Or, in the words of someone who was actually there, chose to re-enter the building against direct instructions.

It will be the Israeli police force, just like in most countries.

I'm not talking about hire and fire, I'm talking about being able to take a risk on someone who might be good, without that risk costing.

What about people crawling into a dark building that may be full of weapons? People who you know would willingly kill non-combatants because of their imaginary friend.

All of that is added cost. All of which is a drag on employment (yet again).

What about young people without the job history? Doesn't this policy just worsen what is already a problem with young unemployment? If the risk of employing someone increases, businesses will be less likely to take a risk on someone who could be better for longer but comes with more risk up front.

Not sure if you saw the news this morning, but public finances aren't nearly as bad as Reeves told us they were. The current tax burden is the highest since WWII, due to exceed that and become the highest ever by the end of this parliament. The government absolutely does not have an income...

Not if the soldiers believe they, or the public, are at imminent risk. In that case, "stopping force" (usually a shot or two to the chest) is authorised.

What would you prefer? The standard trial by social media that Israel's critics seems to consider definitive?

Not based on the statements made at the time. Anyway, there'll be an investigation and we'll find out. But nothing in that video proves the statement false.

Terrorists aren't protected by the Geneva convention. If they wish to be, they need to stop dressing as and hiding behind civilians. They may have come out with their hands up, but they went back into the building against instructions.

Maybe they had, maybe they hadn't. With only one angle from a motivated party, it's impossible to tell. An angle from inside the building would help.

    Not if they're terrorists, no.

Why would a previous employer that wants rid of them give them anything other than a glowing reference? They'd do anything they can for them to take a new job. Maybe if they've managed to go all the way to dismissal they could, but that's quite rare in my experience.

What if they're smart enough to work hard for their probation and then stop giving a fudge? Performance management to dismissal will probably take another 6 months. Longer if they're smart enough to just skirt around it.
