Coincidentally, YouGov were asking this afternoon how people define poverty. Clearly I'm not the only one who thinks that relative "poverty" is fudging flimflam. Relative poverty, by the way, is an annual salary of £22k or £1.8k per month.

It's only fairly recently become Belmond, I think. It's also Raymond's last year before he retires so will be good to give him a send off. Depends. This one is very small for obvious reasons. We usually have one for office staff at the Rose Bowl or somewhere similar where everyone can have a...

Le Manoir Monday night. Unfortunately they stick some silly carol service thing in between all the nice food and wine. I used to stand outside and smoke for that bit, not sure what I'll do now I'm old and not allowed to do anything fun any more.

Can't (shouldn't) use a red ball under lights. White balls don't last that many overs.

One of the kids teams I coach uses a pink ball which is a similar make up to the one they're using in Australia. (At least, much nearer that than a Dukes ball). It's horrible to try and get it to do anything. They don't swing properly, they don't seem properly - that's why everyone's using the...

No need to get more wine. Just have a really large wine cellar that's large enough to live in for a couple of days as a fallout shelter.

Clearly it doesn't matter how long I'm here or not here for, I'll be entitled free in that tiny mind of yours the whole time. Probably time you found a new obsession.

You're right. But if they're to properly protect us against terrorists (who follow no rules or laws whatsoever) it's a little naive to think they can do so staying entirely clean.

Come on, you need to approach this far more seriously than than. You'll need to sort out your collection from best to worst. Start with the best ones and end up on the worse ones once you're a few bottles in.

Interesting theory. What would make UK have a deeper productivity dive than most other nations?

And I live in the real world. One where it will be incredibly difficult to recruit for our armed forces if they know they'll be hung out to dry by politicians who will sell anyone out to solidify their legacy. People don't want to retire and then be looking over their shoulders for the rest...
