    I only saw 2nd half but I thought the England boys showed great restraint with the bizarre decisions of the officals, particularly the linesman (they will always be that to me). I see Brazil drew 1-1 with Zambia.

    I've not seen the game but talked to my son who went and we both think our major problem is the forwards. Apart from Kudus none seem able to keep possession or beat a player. I know the midfield lack creativity but weve all seen teams like that be successful due to an outstanding forward...

    My daughter asked me what I wanted as a birthday present a few years back and I told her I would like a book by Ian Rankin a Scots writer, she got me Surface Details by Iain Banks, not my cup of tea.

    A Town like Alice was a book we read at school, I read some of his wartime books after that. On the Beach was almost a horror story as when I read it we nearly all thought we were living on the edge of nuclear destruction.
