Is it becoming increasingly unsafe in London?

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Yup I am for TF getting a year's experience before we judge him and so far it has been a massive improvement, especially considering the injuries. At the very least, TF is logical and reasonable, not stubborn in any way and well capable in managing the press in a patient and upright sort of way.

    Brennan Johnson

Great that he scores, this is more Brentford and will give TF more ideas AND confidence

    João Palhinha

that's the whole "Palhinha the destroyer who doesn't help in attack" discussion has been about the last few pages. not sure if palhinha has it in him or its TF holding him back. Bentancur is well capable of being more offensive (not the best) but maybe TF has asked for both to sit and shield...

    Xavi Simons

well at least if we do need to sell simons he's definitely capable glad that TF and the team are persisting with him - must be difficult or everyone including xavi since the chelsea game

*** CL MD4 OMT Tottenham Hotspur v FC Copenhagen ***

Richy had like 3 clear chances including a penatly. Soooooooooooo frustrating. Muani looking better and better. Xavi salvaging himself - clearly shows he's a good player but needs to adapt to the EPL. VDV on fire - property motivated after the Chelsea loss and his part in conceding the goal...

that's why its important to get CL - especially with the expanded format.

    João Palhinha

one of the issues is he covers a lot of ground and ends up winning the ball at the edges of the park - i think the team would be more effective if he secured just the central 50% width and leave the 25% on each side to others. its a mess in midfield right now. we press but it is very random...

----------Vicario Porro Danso Romero Udogie ----Gray----Sarr --Tel --- Xavi----odobert ----- Richy we shouldn't put out our best team - the league should be priority give the boys some useful minutes, hopefully Richy scores another worldie so his transfer price goes up

recruitment needs to be better too. kudus was excellent, but letting both mgw and eze slip through is costing us plenty now.

    João Palhinha

see what caicedo did yesterday - he is a destroyer plus. doesn't go around to try to win all tackles but falls back into a structure so that the team can play their part. only destroys to punish. if Paulinha needs to come close he needs to win the ball and play a useful ball that can turn into...

i think he felt responsible and ashamed or the goal and did not feel up to it to face the fans. quite a mess up between him and xavi to be honest

its a very broad observation and its not wrong, but it fails to pin point the root cause. for instance are bentancur and palhinha too defensive? do they have the ability to turn ball recovery into attack? if not who does? is there a structure for Xavi to operate in? Like Kudus, he is often...

    Xavi Simons

But he's not what we need now when madders and kulu are out long term. MGW was the right profile and too bad it didn't happen - Xavi has been a poor signing and is creating more unnecessary pressure for TF.

I thought the team put up a good fight despite lots of questions about the performance Lots of fight and even TF looked frustrated and disappointed at the end We played better than last season - so an improvement. And Chelsea scored only through a mixup between Xavi and VDV. Vicario, Kudus and...

caicedo's football intelligence is underrated. he's like a shark... only pouncing when he smells blood and goes all the way. both efficient and effective.

***Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea***, Premier League, Nov 1st 2025 at White Hart Lane

its a mess in midfield - we have 4 players just chasing down the ball like schoolkids with no sense of structure. the result is often when we do get the ball, we have too many players close to the ball and none to play out to. however there is always a striker waiting up front but the...
