“The UK has FATCA (we report foreign tax residents that open bank accounts in the UK to their country's tax authority) and our Criminal Finances Act goes above and beyond EU legislative requirements to prevent Tax Evasion anyway.” Given London is known as the money laundering capital of the...

That’s correct for decades Netanyahu has been claiming that Iran is months away from developing a nuclear warhead. Those months have some incredible elasticity Remember the lies about wmds to justify the Iraq war? Given that the trump administration was saying in March that there was no...

As for allegations of Russian interference in the Brexit referendum being crack pot allegations, how do you explain this from the daily Mail (not exactly a lefty libtard publication) https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8545367/Russia-report-Downing-Street-dismisses-call-Brexit-vote-probe.html

Agreed it was far from perfect but better to be in it than out if you compare the trade deals we have now to then. The only people that have benefited are disaster capitalists (betting against the uk economy), dishonest politicians (lying to the public and lining their pockets through political...

Where did I say that? I didn’t. I do think that Nigel farage is a grifting clam and can’t understand how anyone could vote for his party, or believe anything he says given the damage he has done with Brexit. Farage is Donald trump light. Do you really want to see his austerity on steroids in...

This does worry me greatly. There’s a lot to dislike about this Labour government but a far right reform government will be much worse.

The trouble with the q1 percentage data you’ve quoted is that the uk economy had shrunk further than the french and German economies due to brexit. Thus the growth is relative not absolute.

Looking forward to seeing those polls shrinking as people come to realise how incompetent reform councillors actually are, and how corrupt their mps will be.

considering Brexit is fudging our economy it would seem very sensible to recognise and deal with this.

The most recently available data from the OBR indicates that we are lagging significantly behind the G7. Which includes both France and Germany, the two most comparable economies in the eu. https://obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2024/ Apologies for my ignorance but what’s the...
