On the flip side I find it hard to take anyone seriously that can't see beyond the cup win so I'm guilty of that too. I'm all for giving people a chance but when the over riding evidence has been a decline in results and performances over 2 years with a completely divided fan base then I think...

Of course Europa League counts but again, with no CL drop outs the best we came up against was Frankfurt. We weren't convincing against Ferencváros, Roma or Rangers. We got spanked against Galatasaray and lost against AZ Alkmaar.

The comparison is that winning the league in Scotland does not mean you will do well in the Premier league so in my opinion the fact he was won leagues in Scotland and Japan means very little when it comes to managing Spurs.

It's not irrelevant when you have 65k supporters paying the most expensive prices in Europe to watch absolute dross in the hope we might beat B level European teams to win a trophy.

Weren't Villa also in danger of getting relegated under Gerrard after he had just won the league in Scotland too? Completely different level of football

Fair enough. But many thousands do care and I'm sure I'm not alone in being unhappy having to go to most home league names knowing we had little interest in winning them because we were gambling on a cup

Which Is why I specifically said Premier league manager. Here is a comparison of Ange v Frank last 2 seasons in the Premier League. Ange 1st Season First 19 games - 1.95 PPG Last 19 games - 1.57 PPG This season First 19 games - 1.26 PPG Last 19 games - 0.73 PPG Frank 1st Season First 19...

OMT: European Champions v Brighton - Sunday 25 May

Let's also not forget the not enough games in the first season and the too many games this season excuse. Regarding the injuries, he has I think admitted that this is what normally happens with him. As an owner would you be happy with £50m assests being broken and out of action for large...

I'm not sure I'd want Paritici picking our next manager if the best he could come up with last time was Gattuso and Fonseca

"But it’s not a desperation around just winning something, because I just don’t think that gets you a sustainable opportunity to be successful. The foundation is just to play the game a certain way, which I believe brings success but also excites the punters."
