Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I've had this discussion here before and possibly with you. I've posted the population per km² and contrasts that to places that are populated. If that area meant so much before Israel was there, why did so few people live there? If it meant souch before Israel, why was it an undeveloped brickhole?

Hamas is already rebuilding, it was a huge mistake to stop before they were completely destroyed. Unfortunately, most of the West doesn't have the stomach for what needs to be done. I do think Israel should be a part of the rebuild but they can't be all the time Hamas are around. I suggest...

It's about putting them in what was essentially a wasteland until Israel developed it into something habitable. It's about putting them in land that nobody wanted until some people decided they didn't want Jewish people to have it because their imaginary friend doesn't like them.

Israel will engage as soon as the attacks and the rockets stop. If their neighbours can't act like civilised human beings then why would Israel treat them as such?

I didn't expect any kind of gotcha, just curious as to whether it's only Jewish people you don't want to have a home.

    Heathrow expansion

That's a perfect example of too much intervention. Banks should have been allowed to fail, they should have had to make their liquidity ratios public and allow people to choose where to put their money. Govts propping them up meant that their behaviour hasn't improved and won't because...

What are your thoughts on the existence of Pakistan?

Agree to disagree (as usual) on the first part. I think technology will improve to the point where it's unlikely to affect me.

Monopolies can be an issue, but many of the issues come from govts not leaving the market to do its thing.

I think people can and should take land to provide a secure border space around their civilians.

As claimed by the same people who keep telling us there's nothing to see here, looks the other way. There are tunnels under UNRWA buildings - that doesn't happen in the days after the building is abandoned. The UNRWA takes this kind of ting very seriously, it even points that out on its own...

    Heathrow expansion

That's a generous description. Not much of anything happened at any kind of pace before capitalism - certainly not anything near the kind of pace you'd like things to change in order to reduce climate change. I think you've misunderstood. You're seeing capitalism through the lens of...

    American politics

I'm softening but not that much yet. Musk changed his mind because Farage refused to join him in referring to that Yaxley-Lennon clam as a political prisoner and refused to allow him into the party/process. Farage gained a huge amount of respect from me based on that. Until that point, I'd...

    Heathrow expansion

Those who bring non-polluting air travel to market will become very rich. Those who design usable, safe batteries to store solar/wind energy on a large scale will become very rich. Etc, etc. Capitalism is working just fine and will solve any real problems. Except, of course, for those of...

    American politics

We pay our way in terms of national security and the US doesn't have a (goods) trade deficit to us. It's the perfect opportunity to rake it in being outside of Europe, but Starmer keeps dropping the ball and then spazzing it off his shin into our own net.

Farage turned down £100m because he refused to be associated with a fascist.

Wow. Hamas are so fudging quick at building tunnels aren't they? They can build an entire tunnel complex underneath UNRWA buildings (along with entrances and security stations in those buildings) in a matter of days after they move out. We should hire them to do all our roadworks, they'd have...

Sick sick world what is wrong with people

You asked a question and I answered it. If you want to make a points make the point. If you want to ask a question, ask a question. I'll answer accordingly.
