    That doesn't mean at one point it wasn't possible. There was a small window during discussions with the PLO, before Hamas took over, when it even seemed probable. But Hamas are there to stay and, as you say, they won't allow a 2 state solution so we need to find an alternative.

    Of course some people were, you can't just leave the odd dwelling here and there and circle a country's boundary around it. But many of the people there were nomadic and so that area was never their home, just a place they travelled to and through. With all the advancements brought to the area...

    I really hope so. Assaulting a police officer is about as low as one can go - a female one, even more so. Unfortunately there's a significantly sized shoe scraping of society that believes the police are the enemy and lack the intelligence to learn otherwise.

    That would have to be judged on a case by case basis. Mostly people travelled through the area, rather than being settled there. People can still travel through the area, although the barbaric treatment of Israeli civilians obviously makes that far more difficult. A political party.

    Have you been to Ireland or Australia? Outside of the cities I'd describe both as empty too. Israel was recognised as a state in 1948 (but I'm sure you knew that), Palestine self-declared as (but still isn't) one in 1988.

    None whatsoever. But an ethnic group who have been hounded out of Europe deserve a place to live. If they'd wanted to live in Alaska or North Wales, or any other undeveloped land then I'd have supported that. They wanted to live where they were originally forced from and that's fine by me.
