Or it could be worse. These are rhebelctions Labour allowed to happen, they stopped plenty under the guise of boundary changes, etc. Those will be the ones they were most certain of losing.

Just someone else who doesn't fall for the hype. 1 goal every 4 games and 1 assist every 5 are not elite player numbers.

£70-80m would have been massively overpaying too. That's Gareth Bale money. Any more than £20m was a waste - and I wouldn't have wanted him for that.

He was a highlights merchant. Took about 20 shots a game and scored every 4th match.

There's plenty here that always thought he was a highlight reel player. I know for a fact @Baleforce agreed with me then, can't remember the others. He scored a spectacular goal every now and then, but it was 1 in about 50 shots. The fastest way to give your opponent a goal kick is to give...

That's due to being at the West Ham end of the table with a stadium from the Spurs end of it. When we're even vaguely near the top we pretty much sell out all the time

What many (most?) councils forget is that that are able to compete with one another. Councils are locked into the outdated (by about half a century) idea that increased taxes make for increased revenue. If they charge lower rates on businesses and homes, they will attract more of both. If they...

Or is it better to take a space on the committee and then render it less useful by leaving them down a member if what you want to do is take it apart?

There's no pressure because there's a queue of people waiting to buy those tickets if those fans don't buy them. The only pressure that can be put on the owners is to choose another club. And that would have to happen in unrealistically large numbers

Of course, but it makes the spending bit far easier when you offload useless players for Bale sums.

It was US cars in particular I was thinking about. Even Japanese cars (probably the best in handling outside of Europe) need some tweaking to be right for really pushing on on our roads.

I haven't been in a car with as poor fit and finish as a Tesla since I used to drive old bangers as a kid! They're great for range, but I've never driven 300+ miles without a coffee anyway. The 5N is fantastic, I'm even considering it as the next company car - it's certainly more fun than the...

I'm not sure it is. Plenty of manufacturers have tried to create that feel that European companies do, but they continue to fail.
