*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea Rent Boys F.A Cup SF ***

I was whinging all game we have no one on the edge of the box from our corners at all, let alone someone who can shoot. I was asking for Tripppier to take from right allowing Eriksen to be on the edge who can actually shoot with either foot. Then Hazard demonstrates how to do it. Damn!

We need to revert to 4-2-3-1, lose Wanyama. Keep Son as we need a goal.

Poch has a plan. The good thing is recently when Plan A has failed, he has changed very quickly. The bench has options with GKN. Him and Son have enjoyed the open spaces of Wembley before.

Yes, we could have. But excellent performance and our ability to switch formations is something most English teams can't do. However, it is largely down to Dier's flexibility, technique, tackling, reading and decision making. I thought he was excellent today. Also, we seem to pass more...

That is a shame. Like others I suspect you are right.

    Danny Rose

Rose is crucial against Chelsea. I would like to see him back for that even without any match practice. Dele's goals against them were aided by Rose, his presence behind Dele occupied Moses allowing Dele to sneak in. Chelsea will be wise to that but it might actually create space for Rose.

    1. Jansen for Sissoko 2. Shoot. Across goal if poss but just shoot, no passing the buck.

Shame about the forced injuries and subs. Means we won't see Son til late but he could have exploited their lack of pace at the back, with Ward probably quickest of their defenders.

    The youth players/on-loan thread 2016-17

But at this level, perhaps it is even more an imperative that the Coach gets it right. I felt McDermott failed to recognise our difficulties in central midfield, in both legs, and leaving out Bennetts and Shakshoua for the second leg, lost us a bit of a threat. Not scoring those early chances...

Save your holier than thou crap. First you insult then even then you use words like 'arseholes'. I guess you do not wish to see any other points of view? The more you say, the bigger the hole you dig. How am I refusing to enjoy success? I am seeking improvements, at the highest levels, these...

But that is exactly my point, in order for English players to improve, more need to go abroad, ideally while they are still learning. Of course, bearing in mind family and educational requirements. They should practice different styles and improve their tactical and technical skills. Physical...

*** OMT - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Stoke City***

4-0 at half time, I would be looking to demoralise the opposition and I prefer to put the same effort at the start as at the end unless physically not possible. A bit old fashioned perhaps in these days of pacing for the season.

I don't think anyone is moaning about the result. We are overjoyed especially as it is against the likes of Charlie Adams. The point is more subtle, it is about what we often criticise ourselves of lacking, the 'winning mentality'. I can understand us getting tired or risking pulls and...

*** OMT - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Stoke City***

Ok, my team would be, as follows, due to absence of Rose I would go 4-2-3-1 as Davies can only play as a LB and I don't think we need 7 defensive minded players at home (excluding the keeper) in a 3-4-3, which often seems to be 5-2-2-1. Lloris Walker Toby Verts Davies Winks Dembele Alli Eriksen...

    The Squad

I think we need game-changers, pace and goals. 1. Goal scorer, who may be happy to come off bench and be Premier proven. Suggestion: Chicharito. Probably available. 2. AM player to compete with and provide an alternative to Eriksen. Isco, Bernardo Silva etc would be good but probably not in our...

I liked Erik Lamela before it was cool

I have always thought Lamela was not quite worth the fee and was not the outstanding game changer we were hoping for. But, hell, in this squad he is vital and we have missed him badly. Both as a link with Eriksen and as a potential playmaker instead of Eriksen, which would benefit the team and...

***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs KAA Gent - 2nd Leg***

I am not sure there is a lack of interest in English players from foreign clubs. I think there is cowardice from English players to go abroad, learn a new language or two, experience different cultures but above all they fear the different styles of football. Note the decision by Voldemort, when...

*** OMT - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Stoke City***

Our offensive set plays have received a lot of attention, and understandably so, however our real Achilles has been our defensive set-plays. My son who is a sports scientist has cringed at how we defend corners and free kicks. First we bring everyone back. ( Note the contrast with Gent who...

    Nabil Bentaleb

Shame. Winks is no LDM, he still has a bit of learning to do regarding his defensive duties. More likely t the moment to press Eriksen's role but has to add goals. Poch shows he is ruthless, once you fall out there is no reassimilation

I can see Alli being sledged by Stoke players. How he let his team-mates down. We need to hurt where it matters, in the onion bag not the testicle sacs.
