Yep, exactly. Pep Guardiola has a set piece coach. Arteta has a set piece coach. I think about half the clubs in the league do at this point. Postecoglou thinks we don't need one. If he wants to be more dogmatic than the world's greatest managers, that's his right. If he ends up getting...

Judging by his last 30 games, doubt I'll have to wait long. Look, I get you're madly in love with this bloke out of the footballing wilderness, but you have to face reality here. He hasn't fixed a single thing from last year. And time is running out. If he gets us winning, great. If he...

I expect things to steadily improve, yes. What you have failed to see is that since game 10 of last season, we have gotten *worse* - settling at a pretty mediocre level that has continued into this season. I expect a coach to fix problems, make his players better and adapt to issues. He has...

It's always only one half, too. We play well for 45 minutes and then collapse, and Postecoglou has singularly failed at fixing this for about 30 games running. Strange.

We've been like this since last October, i.e, since 10 games into his time in his charge. 'First sign of trouble', indeed.

Mmm. If your idol eventually gets sacked for his dogmatism, don't cry - it's life, we move on, there are far better coaches out there. You need to earn the right to be as stubborn and dogmatic as he is. He hasn't earned anything, and time is running out for him to turn things around. No more...

It's difficult to see what Postecoglou can do, to be fair. There's a chance here to do a Poch and start playing just the youngsters, to make a point to the senior pros - Bergvall and Gray both had promising moments, and we have a lot of young players who can be used in that way. Problem is...

    ENIC

Don't have an X account, but they're posting club-by-club stats on there - you could give them a look? Bournemouth apparently have a 99% satisfaction rate with their owners.

    ENIC

Was going to post this. Interesting that 42% of our fans are now ENIC Out - I honestly expected it to be roughly 25-33% or so, but it's a pleasant surprise. Hopefully more change their minds in time. We're approaching year 25 of these owners, so you have to think that at some stage the penny...

    Richarlison

Fair point, but the difference is that the players who want to stay loyal to us are generally brick, whereas it's the ones we want to keep who end up wanting moves away. Richarlison is no exception. His loyalty is appreciated, but he's constantly injured or unavailable, and not a particularly...

    A) 'One of the most knowledgeable CEOs in the business' - suffice it to say, I heavily, *heavily* disagree. He's average - I put it to you we could have hired any FTSE 500 CEO, and if we'd given them 23 years they would have had us in a similar position. There was a time Levy had new ideas and...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

True, but I think that's more to do with what @Chrissivad pointed out - it's because there's a CL place on offer that teams are taking it more seriously in the last 8, as well as coefficients, etc. It's still linked to the CL, which to me is a patchwork solution imo.

    Spurs new investment

Probably. Loosening his grip on the club won't be instant, I accept that. Will take time to kick ENIC to the curb. But, new part-owners bring a new perspective, and maybe one that isn't content with 23 grinding years with one League Cup to show for it on the pitch. If they're unhappy with the...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

This is very true. Agreed that the CL has ruined both the competitiveness of European football and their own second/third-tier competitions.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

We didn't lose any games in the League Cup, but went out regardless. A curious thing. Almost like we drew the match, but limply lost the tie. As for comparing European comps, like I said, there's no great difference between Europa and Conference League. To use ENIC's marker of choice, prize...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I don't think they would agree with me, because they're macaronic gorillas. I don't expect them to. But in terms of trophyless seasons, we both had them. We got into the Europa League, they got into the Conference League - we both play on Thursdays. It's two bald men fighting over a comb -...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Dunno mate. I'm personally overjoyed they sacked him, because he had them purring and they were looking dangerous at the end. I doubt anyone could say the same about us - we looked a shambles by the end. That's the other thing that I think gives the edge to Poch this season - as time wore on...
