    Fair enough, only you will know what you meant by Pep not falling over himself to buy English players though, i took it to mean you saying he wasn’t interested in buying English. I reckon the list provided contradicts that but maybe you would have expected him to buy more than he has?

    That’s as much to do with price though isn’t it and the premium for home grown status in the league City and Pool play in. Pep bought Stones, Walker, Phillips, Grealish and tried for Kane tbf.

    Definitely passes the “eye test”, feels like whenever we come up against anyone on a par or higher ranked than us we lose. Happily steam roll the other teams though, we’re just flat track bully’s under Southgate. Which to be fair to him is an improvement on his immediate predecessor’s.
