    The final straw?

Did you miss the Jol/Redknapp era? We played some pretty tasty, if at times inconsistent (Spurs), stuff.

If we are due a sell-on fee and we buy him does the % of that sell-on fee go to us?

So his clubbing form is like his recent playing form - he goes missing.

    The final straw?

The year we got relegated the fans cheered the team after the last game of the season. We live in a hyper-critical culture where loyalties we used to take for granted no longer apply. If fans feel that players don't give a toss about the club then they clearly feel it's an appropriate response...

*** TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Wigan Athletic OMT ***

JD didn't, as far as I can recall, ever get the ball in a position where he could be dangerous. RvP had a number of chances today, and took his first.

We wouldn't have scored against either of these lot.

    Huddlestone

He may not be the type of midfield player you want but Thudd is definitely a premier league player. And when he leaves Spurs it will be to another PL club.

    Huddlestone

I mean that Hudd, in my recollection, has seldom been a player who has really dominated a game. When Modric was here he would be a constant danger to the opposition not only with his incisive passes but his dribbling and taking on and going past players. Hudd seems almost passive and languid...

OOMT: Tottenham Hotspur vs Some team from somewhere in Europe

As long as we don't pick up any injuries the EL to me is about AVB having the chance to check out players and systems. Sadly Townsend was toilet tonight. Perhaps explains why he didn't start him against Cheat$ki last weekend.

    Huddlestone

The frustrating thing with Hudd (and injuries and rustiness contribute) is that he doesn't take the game by the scruff of the neck and dictate play. He appears to have the skills to do it but too often, in my opinion, he pings the ball back to the defender who has just given it to him rather...

***** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea FC *****

Spot on. The attacking options Chel$ki had today were truly amazing. And up against an old CB (Gallas), and young CB (Caulker) a CB playing LB (Verts) and a midfield shorn of it's two most dynamic assets (Dembele and Bale) it's no surprise they did a job on us. Onwards and upwards a couple of...
