I'm an old fart now, but sad to see the news that this guy passed away. He did a LOT of cover art for some great (and not so great, in all honesty) games back in the day. https://www.digitiser2000.com/main-page/a-tribute-to-the-art-of-bob-wakelin https://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Bob_Wakelin

Expect it's exactly this. His defending isn't really a strong point.

Yeah - agreed, it was a bit too obvious and stand-out really. "Sully: Miracle on the Hudson" Presume you mean this, which is also Tom Hanks - I've not seen it actually, though I'm sure the plot sounds familiar. Is there another version or another very similar sounding film from a few years...

Watched The End of the F****ing World on Netflix. Pretty decent short mini-series (8 episodes, but only 20 minutes each) story about a couple of teenagers who go on the run. Got some very funny bits, right up my street with some of the humour. Good performances. Also still on The Americans -...

Watched Darkest Hour - not bad, pretty decent, good performances, one very obvious "yeah, didn't happen..." scene. Gary Oldman is good. Captain Phillips - seen it before, Tom Hanks is good in it, forgot how harrowing and pretty intense it was. Cargo ship gets taken over by Somali pirates, and...

I've seen plenty of brick male drivers too. Most of them in Audis and BMWs.

Took the kids to see Coco over the weekend. Really good, especially if you like the whole Mexico/Day of the Dead etc. Quite a "grown-up" feel to it, like Pixar do with parts of their films, but the kids did enjoy it too.

Just started watching The Americans. It's been around awhile, but I missed it before now. Really enjoying it so far. Basically Russian spies living in America, as an American family in the early 80s.

I was a bit like that with the first few episodes of Lost, really started getting into it. I've always loved the idea of crash landing on a deserted island. But anyway, around the same time series 1 finished, I saw an interview with the writers, and as soon as they said "but we don't really know...

I watched a bit of the Walking Dead last night. the better half and her sister have both watched from Season 1. I've never really seen it, apart from watching some of the previous (are they on 8 now? if so, I saw most of the 7th season). I'm unsure whether i cba to go back to 1 to start from the...

Finished Godless. it was *good*. just not gritty or "bad" enough for me. looks great, everything comes together in a bit of a predictably "nice" way that's all.

I'm watching Godless at the moment. I'm not quite as far through as you, but I'm really enjoying it. Good scenery, cinematography etc. My only concern is it seems a little bit on the twee side. I'm hoping it ends up a bit grittier (because it could be a lot moreso so far). After that, I think I...
