Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Conte’s rant ended with him taking a flight to Italy never to return. Ange said it’s on him to change the mentality around the club. Slight difference.

No, Spurs are not fragile at all. Nothing to see here.

If we had been 4 points ahead of Villa coming into last night’s game do you think the fans attitude would have been somehow different?

He’s right. We are fragile. It’s endemic at this stage. It’ll take a very special coach and group of players to overcome that.

We’ll get hammered even more in the media if we take points off City tonight (sexy blah blah) The only scenario where we won’t get hammered is if we put up a strong showing and give them a scare but still lose.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project

In 1995, when Blackburn managed by Dalglish went to Anfield needing a win to be sure of the title, there was a lot of talk in advance that victims would be happy to lose. Alex Ferguson was loudly predicting this outcome in media interviews beforehand. To their credit, victims stood up and...

    Pushing Up The Daisies

“César Luis Menotti, the coach who led Argentina to victory at the 1978 World Cup and a central figure in Argentine football, has died at the age of 85.” The first World Cup I can really remember. The image of Menotti on the sideline, cigarette permanently in hand, looking like a writer or a...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I thought it was excellent too, though I didn’t see the game in full so not sure how accurate a reflection the highlights were. What I took from it is that we’re missing a couple of players to enable us to beat the press consistently (and I would say midfield are most culpable here). Also the...

The Bigger Picture - aka we've been here before
