Amazing how his whole game comes back together at the same time. Dribbling, passing and finishing.

    Brennan Johnson

He might not be able to beat his man but if he can make space for a shot and finish like he did today more often that's a top class quality to have.

OMT: Mighty Tottenham Hotspurs vs Brentford - Sat, 21 Sept, 3pm

Two tough away trips now, a pretty hard start to the season all in all.

Ah, really. Didn't realise. Hope that's the case.

A mostly enjoyable watch. I remember when Guardiola, Klopp and Arteta's teams were starting out they'd have spells of irresistable pressing and we had that in the first quarter of the game. Sad to see Johnson doing the shushing after his goal. Maddison was on top form today, Solanke promising...

    Brennan Johnson

That he scored his chance on Tuesday shows his determination. Really don't see why he's being picked on, everyone's been off form for 9 months apart from Porro and VdV as far as I can see. I remember he scored a last minute winner against someone last season and he had a similar bemused...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I think it is not having a Rodri, a very elite player in that position to play such an attacking game.

Son should be shooting more than ever instead of follow Ange to the letter. He's getting older but his shooting wouldn't have died down if he kept at it (who knows what state it is in now). Didn't watch the game but trying to score the same goal over and over was boring last season. Even when we...

Predictable result. I support Emirates Marketing Project more than Spurs these days because we're never winning a trophy so Arsenal not winning one either is the best to hope for.

    Cristian Romero

Not as big a fan as many on this site but worry about getting the ball out of defence without him. Think he picks a pass better than Udogie, Radusin and VdV.

We'll finish 6th I reckon. Hope he takes the cups seriously, especially the Europa but won't hold my breath.

I don't enjoy it either but if the players could choose logical five yard passes then we would make high quality chances. Odebert also could have squared a ball to a free Son but decided to try to shoot through two defenders instead.

We're a hard watch. Just absolutely stupid in the final third. Any big ground we might as well give the points up before KO, the oppo don't have to do much more than turn up. Kulu was absolutely criminal there.

Cunha is so good, has it all, one of my fave non Spurs players.

My main take away was how much was happening for the Bissouma goal, it must be very disorientating for opposing defences. Also VdV is a magnificent footballer.

I agree but Saliba is just so good he elevates the whole team never mind just the defence.

Didn't know that about a rule change regarding impeding the keeper, that's good news.

I like the current focus on two footedness. Think we had it with Poch's team in Eriksen, Son, Kane and it makes a big difference. His first touch and willingness to pick up the ball deep also look useful.

L Levy has really improved in getting players in early over the last couple of 3-4 years.
