    Spurs pre-season Perth, Australia

So far the following players haven't been involved in the friendlies: Spence, Rodon, Ndombele and Gil - have they all had injuries? (Just wondering how much to read into it in terms of their respective futures at the club).

I was imagining that Ange might give Richarlison a chance as our #1 if Harry goes - which I do appreciate is controversial!

    Yeah exactly.

Yeah I've wondered if it's the Kane situation that's stalling the centre-back purchase. No point getting VDV now if we end up selling Kane and can afford Tapsoba instead. (Personally I don't see us getting both - think we might want to spend some of the Kane cash on another striker instead).

    Djed Spence

This feels like one of the big squad questions to me - Royal and Spence at RB and Porro at RW, at the expense of Perisic or Gil? Or get rid of Perisic and Gil, stick Porro at RW (and Solomon LW) and stick Spence on loan again. Perisic has certainly made a strong case for inclusion so far!

Anyone know why we have two weeks without a friendly now?

Treat them mean, keep them keen - works on women! :D

Interestingly both full-backs often came inside at the same time, leaving a back two behind. Royal tended to go more into central midfield vs Udogie going more into inside forward, from what I saw.

Hojbjerg’s passing has been superb from that no 6 role.

Always thought Lo Celso was decent. Would be great if he wanted to stay and Ange got a tune out of him! Seems to suit the 4-3-3.

Takes the tinkle paying money for Spursplay and they can’t even get the sound working

Very sad, but comes across brilliantly. Big love Dele ❤️.

I guess I’m imagining that the players wouldn’t go back - they’d stay at their new club but the new club would have to pay a fee. But fair points, and I appreciate it would have the potential to be a bit messy. Hopefully we agree to pay Shakhtar a fee and this is a moot point anyway!

But why have they had the power to ‘suspend’ the contracts but not freeze them? (Or rather to allow players to unilaterally suspend, instead of allowing players and teams to agree to a freeze?) If there’s some technical legal issue with freezing, surely you could get around it by saying players...

I don’t understand why FIFA didn’t rule to actually suspend these players’ contracts I.e. freeze them rather than have them keep running.

Guess our line up against Brentford

I’d be very happy to see that kind of movement and rotation - felt like it was so lacking under Conte!

Guess our line up against Brentford

Yeah that's where he mostly played for Brighton - the deepest of three midfielders. That's not to say he can't play further forward, I was just surprised that almost everyone seems to be thinking that he will.

Guess our line up against Brentford

I’m surprised everyone has Bissouma at 8 - everything I’ve seen and read suggests he primarily played as a 6 for Brighton, and that his defensive abilities are his biggest asset.
