    I have read dealers are insured only if they take reasonable measures to prevent theft. ie don't leave the keys in the vehicle for a start.

    It had its replacement which was knocking from the top end, they wouldn't get far with it. The van was awaiting another engine. That's history now, the dealer is off the hook and I have no van.
