I really hate the word "woke". It doesn't mean anything, it's just a slur. Woke from what? Would it be considered "woke" today to abolish slavery? Is it bad that a country with a black population of nearly 50 million gets more black actors into their entertainment industry? Is it bad that all...

Aahh, Elon Musk. The guy who speaks for "the common man" and rises up against "the corporations" after demanding a $56.000.000.000 pay package.

Another City notch in the belt, well done! Though not totally unexpected, City plays a system that both suits us well, and is much like how we often play against opponents we don't take too seriously ourselves. Low to moderate press without half hearted ball recovery intent, leaving lots and...

On another note, that sound reverberation design thingy of the stadium seems to be working, sounds majestic.

Well, Defoe and especially Keane were certainly not afraid to miss "easy" one-on-ones. Much better when shooting on pure instinct. Defoe never put away a shot slower than 100 mph, even on an open goal.

Same as earlier, where Solanke was blatantly held back with the ball at his feet, usually when you play advantage you blow when the player loses the ball. No such thing, while the opposition can fall over and get the decision several moves later.

Bit too hard pass, but to be fair Kulusevski halted his run. Werner is actually very, very good in that particular phase of a buildup. As a technical player, breaking free and running with the ball shimmying out opposition is what he's best at imho. If Werner had an end product, he would never...

Like "Kane would have buried that free kick", that's a sentence rarely seen until very recently

Haha wow! Still, all the favourites are doing away with the lesser teams tonight, Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs.

I've always said that Werner is our best finisher and striker of the ball! * * = This may or may not be entirely true

    James Maddison

I thought at the time that Anderton was pretty similar to and every bit as good as Mcmanaman, who became a Galactico. A great player who arguably isn't legendary (unless in Liverpool). To me at least, haven't heard his name mentioned in ages.

    Pedro Porro

Has he? Not saying you're wrong, but I cannot recall him losing it too often unless he ventures too far forward. Which he should be prohibited to do, his goal notwithstanding. He has no pace to recover to get back on the right side of things and has learned crossing at Eriksen's school of...

    Pedro Porro

Could be and hopefully it's fixable, he was a revelation when he started out - for his age of course. And in a position we really need to get nailed down.

    Mikey Moore

I hope that nobody does that. Palace should have been booked earlier for trying to take him out of his game, at which they succeeded. He got a dose of EPL reality today after a fantastic debut. He'll come good and more than that I'm sure, but a Wayne Rooney he's not.

    Pedro Porro

I am not Davies' biggest fan, but I believe that he still can do a job as LB in a back four. As an effective WB no, but then again he never has.
  17. S

    Pedro Porro

Well, we still have Davies? If lack of motivation/discipline is what holds a youngster back (not saying it is, but if), then start Davies. At least we know what we get and what we don't with him.
  18. S

    Pedro Porro

That explains a lot. I don't think we can expect too much of such a player, so all things considered he's doing pretty well.
  19. S

    Pedro Porro

Yeah, it reminds me of the Walker/Lennon conundrum where both wanted to do the same thing, leaving the other to dry. You could even argue that Porro is a tiny bit more disciplined.

Udogie did not have a good afternoon, but the entire defense insists on making life hard on themselves by employing the stupid high risk play-out-from-the-back. We do NOT have the required passing abilities or even awareness to do that successfully, other than against the most timid opposition...
