    I think it's as much about social management of the situation now as it is about science. The lockdown was coming apart, I don't think the government had much viable choice but to relax it down. Agree that a lack of toughness earlier on probably contributed to the situation.

    Just seen a social media post from someone who attended a protest on the west coast of America last night. The post states that the event had been entirely peaceful, with the exception of some looting that occurred. I honestly have no idea what to make of that.

    I must admit I haven't been keeping score, but I don't think I've seen that. I'm pretty sure everyone I've heard, right up to Trump has expressed something akin to disgust at the footage of the incident. Which is as it should be. The two things are hardly mutually exclusive.
