*** OMT: Mighty Spurs vs Scum ***

Lots of valid points in this thread. We couldn’t get through as they are well organised, so attempted some crosses which were abysmal. One thing I’m scratching my head about is the Odobert signing. Not saying I don’t rate him or he won’t come good but we had 2 for the left and 2 for the right...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Saudi Sportswashing ***

You’re disagreeing with yourself. You said the problem was midfield. It wasn’t. Our midfield dominated. We had no cutting edge up top. Hence Son going up there.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Saudi Sportswashing ***

Our midfield dominated the half. 9 shots and 65% possession. I prefer Son wide but Kulu isn’t the answer up top.

Said the same here but I suspect Ange didn’t want the game to be too stretchy (after last year). Slightly slower build ups rather than end to end. However, it’s pretty clear that Son would have the beating of their CBs and now (at 1-0 down) is the time to twist rather than stick.

OMT * Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City *

Our forwards had enough chances to score a few goals there.

Can’t explain how bad that was from Romero. Just ran past the danger man and left him free.

    Wilson Odobert

You might be thinking about the Italian they have - Koleosho. Started last season really well. Odobert is exciting. Ends the Eze chat I guess.

Rough highlights of Prem teams' transfer windows

The top 3 are my favoured 3. Leif Davis assist stats over the last 2 seasons are unreal. Especially as he improved his numbers when stepping up to the Championship. I hope it’s a 60 game season for us so should be plenty of game time for a number 2, especially the way Ange plays. And we saw...

Rough highlights of Prem teams' transfer windows

One thing I think is often overlooked about BJ is that he has a really good instinct. I have an ST and sit above the goal. It’s really easy to see how BJ drives into a POMO (sorry - Allardyce terminology there - position of maximum opportunity) much more than someone like Timo. Hes bagged a few...

Rough highlights of Prem teams' transfer windows

Chatting to my son, I can’t fathom how we will spend 60m on a player where we already have 3 players for his position…and the number 1 is captain and our main goalscorer. We agreed he could challenge Madders….but we don’t have huge evidence of him in the 10 and he’d be a different sort of...

    Pre Season 2024

Is Johnson playing left forward? If so….crazy. We’ve got 3 in the squad and he’s worse out there than all of them. He has one position and it’s Right side. Maybe Johnson is right, Son left and Deki false 9…. Will sort itself out once Solanke starts obvs. Regarding the defence. Why are Romero...

    The transfer thread

Really rate Neto. Unsurprisingly, priced out again. Johnson played well on the right and returned decent numbers, and we have Deki so not sure we actually needed. Neto has that high ceiling though imo. Inverted and with pace. And I’m sure I’ve seen him play up top for Wolves. Not a long term...

    Lucas Bergvall

Read on X that he had a good game yesterday so was keen to watch this. I’m not so sure, got caught in possession a few times and the one touch passes didn’t always land. You’re not getting away that in the prem. Also, looks a tiny bit short of pace - which you don’t actually need in his position...

    Conor Gallagher

He’s a workhorse who does what the managers ask. That doesn’t mean he’s talented on the ball. I’d urge you to watch him during games with your own eyes. Looks horrible in possession and I’ve never seen someone kick it out of play so often when trying to pass.

    The transfer thread

I think it did click for Richy last year. The injuries were a shame. A fit confident Richy for a whole season will be hard to improve on without spending a fortune. Toney would be the one that could suit us imo and take us up a notch. We still lack an aggy leader type (we have Cuti I know) but...

    Dominic Solanke

The problem (as always for us) is we’re never going to pick up the players that have had 2-3 good seasons. They will be looking for top tier moves. That leaves us to semi-gamble on one season returns. It’s the scouts job to sort out who’s who.

    Conor Gallagher

He’s so limited. A busy presser who gets the odd goal. Almost no ball skillset imo.

    ***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Burnley OMT***

Much better balance when players are in their correct position. We finished the Liverpool game in similar fashion. It’s pretty clear to me Son doesn’t want to play up top with his back to goal. Literally cancels out all of his qualities. (I know he’s had some joy there before).
