    James Maddison

As Murphy pointed out on MOTD, he’s played his part in us being the better team in all games so far except maybe Arsenal. Yesterday it clicked. Hopefully gives him a confidence boost to take forward. Playing a bit deeper aswell with Kulu playing 10 so to be around the goals is good going.

Seems to have become the fall guy but without his clever forward pass last night we are out. Some won’t like to admit it but unless he plays well, we don’t play well.

Flashbacks to the pens vs Fulham. Was it Forster? Like a Subbuteo goalie?

I can’t get my head round taking Solanke off when you know you’re going to have some box pressure at some point.

Bentancur covered every blade of grass before his injury. Looks a shadow of that player.

Management is all about learning, and finding ways to overcome issues etc. Mind bending that Ange managed the game in this way after Fulham last year. Pretty worrying regardless of the result.

Surely it had to be Son for Werner!? Leave Solanke on.

Forster should be nowhere near a prem team.

This is so so pony. I’m lost on the full backs. Thought they were a big part of Ange’s system but both are playing out of position.

We really don’t need Sarr and Bentancur here. Kulu/Madders in to try and keep the ball better.

You said that. I simply said he’s loose with the ball when I’ve seen him. No need to exaggerate.

Similar story to other cup games where we’ve rested players. No continuity. I thought Ange might have tried to put a result on the board tonight to install some confidence. Seems he wants to do it the hard way.

Seems to have picked up a following but I pointed out in the pre season game that he was loose with the ball.

I absolutely detest the wholesale changes. Can you really expect 8 changes and the team to play quickly and as a unit? Managers don’t seem to learn.

*** OMT: Mighty Spurs vs Scum ***

For anyone interested (I know many aren’t); We currently have an Xpts of 6.76. I’d say that’s about right - had we converted either Leic or Newc to wins then we would be on 6 or 7 points and today wouldn’t feel as bad. The damage was done in those games imo. We have the 3rd biggest...

Your last bit sums up my thoughts. These signings are ‘business’ signings I guess. Rather than football ones.

It really doesn’t help when: Saudi Sportswashing Machine spawn a win with 2 long range goals Chelsea spawn a win with a late goal Villa win from 2 down West Ham equalise in the 95th min Still - I’m sure we’ll turn Coventry over this week!
