    They might make a hell of a mess but it will not end civilisation. The fires will be out within weeks and the no longer radioactive dust will have long since settled. Cities will be razed but Russia do this to Ukrainian cities anyway. Just a different way of thinking about this.

    Your maths aren’t great here. Let’s say the hotel costs what £20M to build? Means each flat will be £630k. How much profit is there in that? They must have already spent a fudgeton on acquiring the land and permissions. With luck they might get enough for a new midfielder out of it.

    Well obviously ground zero is not an ideal place to be, same goes for a conventional weapons barrage. Chernobyl was not a nuclear bomb and has a totally different set of pollutants. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are a case in point. Rebuilt almost straight away and now thriving. I just don’t see...

    The problem is trying to attract spectators to four day games. More first day Fridays would help but what else can be done? As for spinners, well they benefit most from poor pitches - wearing uneven tracks.

    The last two episodes of slow horses in this latest season were jaw dropping. They have really sussed out how to exhibit the action and tension. this series also broadened out the cast nicely and it bodes very well for a few more series
