    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v AZ - Thursday 24 October at 8pm **

I think it's a potentially risky move to play a player - Spence - who is not registered for a competition - this competition. Why he is not and Forster is might be the proper question to ask.

I would hope we have a coach that can just tell them to not slack off one bit when the ball goes out of play anywhere.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Maybe our keeper needs to go down with what looks like a leg injury - the game stops, the one-way traffic to out goal stops, the physio comes on, other players get a chance to chat with Uncle Ange, the physio goes off and we re-group. PLUS, the keeper doesn't have to wait 30 seconds to come back...

    Lessons from Bill Nick

Bill Nick also used to tell his players 'when the ball goes dead, you come alive'. And I think that twice this season we've dozed off at throw ins that shortly after lead to a goal.

Correct. Well spotted. And that traumatic period in his life was several years ago now, not actually happening.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Not sure if it’s already been said, but making subs sends a message to the substituted player that there is competition for their place. For example, Udogie having a mare, getting a cheap yellow, could potentially worry about his place if Spence comes on and does well.

Conte was already cracked, and the three deaths of close friends and the pressures of the job broke him.

If this broke him he’s too weak. Especially as he SHOULD have made subs to at least attempt to stem the flow. Subs are part of a complete approach to the game.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I still think he should have made subs. They can change the chemistry of the team and they also stop the game for a while that changes momentum

Udogie mistake not clearing for their first and a weak ‘tackle’ for (I think) their third.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I do blame him for not making subs to change the momentum of the game. Unless he genuinely thought he didn’t have the players on the bench to do that. But I’m not buying that Biss for Bentancur would have made a difference. Or Spence for Udogie Bizarre.
