OMT: Mighty Tottenham Hotspurs vs Brentford - Sat, 21 Sept, 3pm

Subject to injuries I would be inclined to bench Sonny for this one. He's looked off the pace so far this season. Venom Porro Romero VDV Udogie...

OMT: Might Spurs v Coventry Wednesday 18 September, kick-off 8pm

either way we should beat a team that far down the league better than we did last night. Changes were one reason, but there does seem to be this disconnect between what the manager wants and what the players are doing.

It's for the chairman to stand firm if he believes. The fans can scream but they don't hire or fire the manager.

Brennan Johnson just gave a very honest assessment of the game. Also said they should be playing quicker and move the ball better.

That was painful. I've been pro Ange from day 1 but christ that was the pits. Forster shouldn't play for us again, he was a good keeper but he's not up to the job any more. The defence looked nervous because of the lack of composure in him. We can't play a high line without vdv, and because...

I've never been to a ground where there hasn't been a bloke shouting that x or y player is sh-ite, even if he's scored a hattrick. Add that trait to a faceless internet world and its no wonder we get such a large number of fickle sorts.

its also got to be said that coming in for your second start and first at home against the goon squad is quite a lot of pressure. He may need a bit of time to settle down, as opposed to settle in.

as long as there are keyboard warriors out there, and football remains so polarising, its going to happen.

what I want to see is playing through the lines, drawing the opposition out and then getting wide and getting crosses across the six yard box. The rest of the strategy hinges on this being effective, and the team, despite I believe being told to do it, just aren't - starting with Son in the main.

*** OMT: Mighty Spurs vs Scum ***

I would say that the lack of entertainment was more down to the arsenal defensive setup than our approach. We started with 5 attacking players on the park, so the intent was clear. Disappointment is fine, I actually said I hate losing to the goonsquad, so I am disappointed. What I'm not though...

you know what would be amazing - a white hart lane style cauldron atmosphere. The minute that the goons scored today you could hear the noise drop off. Once upon a time, the atmosphere would have turned that game.

we had more possession, more shots, more shots on target, more shots blocked, and they scored from a corner where Romero got knocked out of position and lost Gabriel. Neither keeper was tested enough, and the defensive structure Arsenal imposed made for a tough time to break them down.

I do wonder about some people's tendency towards doom and gloom on here. Its 4 games into the season, and we've had 63 shots on goal, 25 of which have been on target. Anyone can see we're creating chances and not putting them away. Which is an issue, but if you want to have an issue then...
