    Coronavirus

We definitely need continuity and it'll be interesting to see if the govt bring in the measures adopted by France, guess it'll depend on the severity of the bell curve. As you say, some people rely on services others would consider non-essential so it would be nice if flexibilty was allowed but...

    Coronavirus

First off, I'm not in the retail sector so the government measures don't affect me in that way - I'm guessing my business will pick up after this initial reaction - so I'm in a much more fortunate position than landlords, restaurant owners etc and I really feel for them. I admit it is a real...

    Coronavirus

To the bit in bold, we're not being asked to isolate (unless you or someone in your house has symptoms) thats what seems to be confusing people. Just avoiding non-essential contact for the time being. So yes, not going to the pub, not playing 5 a side, not going to play squash on a Thursday...

    Coronavirus

I don't think the advice is for everyone to self isolate but to cut out non-essential contact with people. If you're ignoring that because you're OK Jack then yes you are endangering people because of the potential strain it will put on the NHS

As you say, there's a dumpload more to worry about than when the footy season finishes but I reckon it's possible they'll postpone football for a year and finish this season off come March 2021

    Coronavirus

I’ve got the same issues; had to shout at my dad this morning who’s early 70s, history of heart attacks and lives with my mum who also has health issues. His plan today was to go to the bank, do some shopping, meet a friend for lunch then go to the dump. I asked him if he’d a) seen the news and...

    Coronavirus

I'm staggered by the nonchalance or downright ignorance of some people in this country (UK). Just driven through a local high street and the local cafe's/restaurants are full of people, some of whom are clearly over 70. Do they not realise the severity of this situation? 1000's of people are...

    Coronavirus

My (limited) understanding is there are various 'cold' viruses and once you catch one type, you build up an immunity to it and are very unlikely to catch the same one again. I think there are 150-200 cold viruses out there

The Official 2019/20 Premier League Thread

I'm guessing the PL will suspend the season for a few weeks but ultimately it will be voided and Liverpool will be granted the title as a gesture by the other clubs but in the history books there will be an asterisk next to their title win

    The Goon Thread

Arteta is a massive gamble - he might be good enough to quickly push them up the table a la Mourinho or it could seriously backfire and they could find themselves in a real situation relegation wise. Someone like Allardyce - whose appointment presumably would send most on AFTV into meltdown -...

    Time to Quit

Youre kidding right? I just looked it up and in his last 4 jobs he's won the prem, 2 serie A, la liga, champions league, europa league, 2 league cups and more. He can win the prem and champions league with us and then get his hefty pension if that makes you happy? Come on, I get that he comes...

    Jose Mourinho - SACKED

Haven't given this much thought or research but off the top of my head, I think Scott McTominay is doing OK. Rashford aswell maybe Are people really this gutted we have a multiple trophy winning manager now in charge? I love Poch and everything he's done for the club but this is a step up

    Time to Quit

Am I the only person who is genuinely excited that we've attracted probably the biggest name in managing in the history of our club. A serial winner who has collected trophies at every club he's been at And I remember the 90s/2000s where we certainly weren't playing attractively, it was barely...

The glorious march to CL qualification

This may be unpopular but I'm cheering on United tonight as I would much prefer they got 4th over Chelsea or Arsenal and will place my (misguided?) faith that Spurs will do enough in the last three games to secure 3rd

*** OMT Tottenham vs Emirates Marketing Project (3/3) ***

I hate this philosophy and mindset. If the players go into the Brighton game thinking its an easy 3 points then that could be disastrous. Of course rest players where we have strength in depth, say Davies for Rose, Sanchez for Toby/Jan but not bring in a load of kids. Nicking a point at City...
