European Super League - Dead on arrival

They’ll be back with new plans in the summer where the closed shop aspect will be less transparent

European Super League - Dead on arrival

I imagine we’d have made a similar statement if we hadn’t been invited

European Super League - Dead on arrival

Then he can watch as all the other teams pull out one by one before claiming Spurs are the ESL champions

European Super League - Dead on arrival

There is no going back now. Even if they said they were withdrawing all plans for the ESL, everyone would know they'd just be working on a new set of ideas that would be slightly more palatable

European Super League - Dead on arrival

Other clubs getting fudged is a massive reason why I'm totally against this. They're not fudging collateral, they have fans and histories and all the other brick which make them just as important as us

European Super League - Dead on arrival

Do you think? Even if doesn't go ahead in the current guise, this is definitely the start of a massive shift to a new way football is structured. Bigger than when the PL was formed

European Super League - Dead on arrival

I don’t want to speak for all football fans of all clubs but I think they may have to do a bit more then just make it easier and cheaper to watch the games

European Super League - Dead on arrival

Of course, and I agree with all of that. I just think it's a shame that success in football, and sport in the main, is now measured in the accounts rather than success on the pitch

European Super League - Dead on arrival

exactly. But as fans, does it give you more excitement that we might win a cup final on Sunday or that, one day we might move up a spot or two in the financial tablke?

European Super League - Dead on arrival

I get that, but the Deloitte chart quoted above has us above Chelsea and Juve, does that make us more successful than them?

European Super League - Dead on arrival

    sport, allegedly

European Super League - Dead on arrival

Well that just confirms what we all suspected. Success in football today is measured not what happens on the field but what is happening in the accounts

European Super League - Dead on arrival

I’m not saying I’m either for it or against it, just find it strange we’ve been invited to the party

European Super League - Dead on arrival

The Premier league and sky have been busy removing the soul from football for a good 25 years. This just takes it one step further Like it or otherwise, does anyone else find it slightly odd we’ve been invited to this thing?

    Jose Mourinho - SACKED

There’s no doubt we played some better swashbuckling stuff under Harry and Poch, and it brought some great memories, I’m thinking in participating the 1-0 at city and a certain game in Ajax, but we won nothing and that’s how their eras will ultimately be defined I disagree that losing without...

    Jose Mourinho - SACKED

I appreciate you warding off the slaps! 1) yes, as soon as I read this I realised it’s not one I should have forgotten! But it kind of backs up my point a little - I don’t care about our route to the final, I just want to win a trophy 2) was it promised? To get top 4, we need to finish above...

    Jose Mourinho - SACKED

I don’t post on here very often and I’m aware I’m about to get slapped about but the vitriol against Jose on here is shocking. I guess part of it is because we were doing so well and the wheels fell off spectacularly but we have a chance of a trophy and a top 4/6 finish which taken on merit...

    *** OMT Tottenham v Everton ***

Could be the difference between losing by 3 or 4 or a real thrashing

    Harry Kane MBE

I agree that arsenal would be a destination that would negate any good feeling but as that would currently be a step down I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t go there

    Harry Kane MBE

True, but Kane is getting to the age of now or never. If he wants a serious chance to move to a club that can win leagues and Europe it’s got to be this summer really, maybe next
