Which is exactly why it shouldn’t be disbanded and defunded.

Honestly it’s as beautiful as it is hilarious. I can guarantee you the vast majority of the non-management staff within the organisation are gleefully watching this play out and fully behind the on-screen team. The stir this has caused and the overwhelming support for Lineker et al is better...

For worldwide journalism they’re revered. I agree domestically with your post. That doesn’t make it unfit for purpose and in need of defunding.

It’s the most highly regarded broadcast institution on the planet bar none. Take aside any political arguments it’s the Everest summit of the industry

Not so much ‘agent’ as fearful. They pander to the whims of the right/Tories for fear of backlash, which makes a mockery of the assumption they are a predominantly hard left organisation.

I think she’d definitely be in the running as an eventual replacement. No chance she would’ve accepted standing in at this point. Especially with Wrighty taking the lead on boycotting as she looks up to him massively.

Alex Scott stating she's not interested in replacing Lineker with a Sanders meme. Joe Lycott confirming he is very much available for tomorrow's MOTD presenting duties. This is all so wonderfully British.

    NSFH Let's Talk Takeaways

I’m in Stoke Newington, we’re spoilt for choice with options as most places are fully plant-based or have a good vegan menu nowadays. These are our regular takeaways, definitely recommend if you’re in the area and want to take a break from animals on your plate: Oowee Burgers...

    So, what happened today?

He was most definitely doing it for the publicity with the initial tweet, I don't think he imagined it would escalate to the level it has now though. I agree with you on his reasons why for tweeting. Unfortunately, even though he will be largely forgotten about in the future, he has already had...

A lion would die if it didn’t hunt and eat meat. I have the option of choosing from a multitude of non-meat/dairy food sources. if a cat was in an empty room with a live chicken and an apple, it’s natural instinct would be to hunt and devour the chicken or kill for sport. I’m going to get that...

Of course not. Cats are obligate carnivores. Im also not going to scold a lion for refusing to eat their broccoli.

It’s not a sacrifice for me, the range of food I have in my diet has increased ten-fold! I’ve witnessed first-hand the standards and environment of the most highly approved factory farms and slaughterhouses. It’s horrific. If factory farms and slaughterhouses had windows, the world would go...

I appreciate what you’re saying. I’ll never agree there’s an ethical way to kill someone who doesn’t want to die when there are other options available. Our ancestors also committed *struggle cuddle* with impunity, doesn’t make it right ;) just because we did something hundreds, even thousands of years ago...

Not one single animal ‘tolerates’ factory farm conditions.

That’s a very different proposition when it’s literally to survive. I don’t see many arrows flying around the meat counter in Tesco’s though.
