    Pushing Up The Daisies

George Alagiah - 67 years old. The tributes for him are a true measure of his stature and character https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-65949435

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I agree with all of that. It doesn’t change my viewpoint that this is a complete non-issue compared to literally everything else that is happening in the UK at the moment. Farage hasn’t been banned from opening a bank account. He simply didn’t meet the criteria to continue with one particular...

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I agree it doesn’t set a good precedent. However there are infinitely worse erosions of our rights happening than a a far-right pandering weasel not getting to put his dodgy cash in a millionaires private bank. I’m not going to lose any sleep over it and I find it strange that others would...

I’m yet to meet one single person or anyone in the public eye that’s been cancelled for saying that. On Farage; he’s once again played a blinder in stirring up controversy where there is little. It’s Coutts, of course they’re going to have a ‘type’ of customer that fits their criteria (I would...

    Dele interview

All of that is true up to the last part. If we didn’t see a progressive rise in emotional intelligence throughout history, then it would be a large contributor to mankind not existing anymore on a hyperbolic level. On a base level, Gen Z (of which I am not a part of) have consistently shown they...

    Dele interview

Is that even a debate? Each generation progresses and becomes more emotionally aware and intelligent than the previous. We’re literally conversing in a thread about a young, professional footballer using his platform to discuss the effects of his childhood trauma and mental health, in the hope...

It’s literally a religion. The way people defend it is like religious zealots saying their Flying Spaghetti Monster is better than everyone else’s.

    Life advice for your children

We are force-fed so much negativity and caution in our lifetimes that it’s easy to forget how beautiful it is to simply live. You come across as a very good Dad. I doubt you need to tell him much beyond ‘everything will always be ok’, ‘I love you’ and ‘fudge those gooner clams’

I first saw Guns 31 years ago almost to the day of last night. They can still put on a great show. Axl’s vocals live held up much better than I expected but agree with other comments that his high register has no power anymore. Honestly who cares, it’s Axl fudging Rose and his energy was fantastic.

It was almost surreal, like it didn’t happen! Got to see Dave with Guns last night, it’s been a really good Glasto this year

Don’t disagree but it’s still a trophy. If City somehow ended up in this tournament you can bet Pep would be going all out to win it. I’ll take any serious trophy (which this is) to kickstart wining more important ones

Yep. We can downplay it all we want but I wish it was us competing in this final

    FA Cup 2022-23

I'm not offended by the top personally, it's just not funny. It's the lowest common denominator of humour designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator of unintelligent human. Someone put their edge-lord pants on that day but it seems mummy hadn't ironed them properly.
