    Son Heung-Min

My guess is that ever since season 2021/22, when Son won the Golden Boot with 23 goals and no penalties compared with Kane's 17 (which included several), he has been much more targeted by coaches when preparing against Spurs. They doubtless recognise not only that he is now our main goal...

Agreed, not Son. But Romero? Certainly has leadership potential but is he too flawed? Susceptible to losing concentration and can go missing when it really matters. Then again, the responsibilty of captaincy could be what brings out the best in both him and the team.

Problem is Dave was one in a million, the one who six decades ago effectively defined the art of leadership on the pitch. Hence why his name stlll pops up whenever leadership is mentioned.

    Richarlison

Yep. Always felt that Clive was something of a one trick pony, but that one trick was also very deadly. He never worried about being closely marked in and around the box because on receiving the ball he could in one swift movement swivel and turn his opponent then instantly fire into the corner...

I was there too. Fantastic live band but I'm still not sold on the album (Yummy). Tim Booth still crowdsurfing at his age, but he nearly came a cropper.

Yes, remember that too. Article was around the time we were in for him that clearly exposed his alarming history of laziness, but of course he was exceptionally talented so Lyon took a punt on him. Had one good season for them - although even that was questioned - but it looked like he might...

Agree. I have no problem with the team or the performance against City. No doubt Ange had demanded they to go all out for the win. It was heartening to see they gave it their all in spite of what must have felt like mixed messages from too many of our so-called 'supporters.'

Remember we beat Villa 4-0 at their gig. Palace had won five and drawn one of their last six going into the game against Villa. Sheffield United have shipped five goals or more seven times this season, including an 8-0 thrashing by Saudi Sportswashing Machine at their ground. Even Burnley put a total of 9 past...

If so it was a funny way of showing it. I think you are kidding yourself. No wonder other fans sneer and call us S P U R S Y.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Sheffield United ***

That's beside the point. Ange has made it crystal clear he is a winner, he wants to win things above all else. The idea that the fans wold prefer to see his team lose whatever the circumstances is surely anathema to him. Imo we have let him down badly.

Doubtless our fans have just made it that much harder for him. How is he to know he won't find himself in a similar position next season. Knowing the fans have got your back has to be a big part of it.

Okay scrub that bit. But the point still stands because we were n't to know that prior to the City game.

Personally I am embarrassed that so many fans wanted us to lose to City just so they could indulge in schadenfreude at Arsenal's failure. Especially so as it turns out they would still have failed had we beaten City. I cannot imagine how furious Ange must be feeling. I just hope he's not so...

Yeah, as mentioned before, around 4% of his goals were headers. Even that number is a surprise, although he can be quite deft with his nut tbf. Edit: saying that, low crosses across the face of the goal can often be more deadly, especially for the likes of Son.

So, extrapolating from Porro's stats above, last season he delivered roughly 37 accurate crosses from a total of 197 compared to 25 from just 77 in season 2022/23. Ooer. Well at least in theory it meant he created 12 more goalscoring chances than previously.
