No I don’t. But I think 20+ years is enough and feel it is time for a change.

Longer term for some seems to be indefinite. And it’s not like there haven’t been other periods where we have gone backwards, those periods I highlighted were just the most recent.

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

I get they are longer term but they have been in charge 20+ years. I am just surprised/baffled by the patience some have with them that’s all.

But we’ve had periods when we most definitely were not moving in the right direction and yet people still seemed happy for Levy to continue running the club, most recently when Jose was let go and Mason took over. Essentially the entire period in between Jose and Conte was a mess. And the end of...

7 game ban for something that didn’t happen in this country. Didn’t realise the FA had jurisdiction in South America but good to know. They should be able to ban Partey then given that the alleged offence happened in Spain.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

It should be one of the easiest things to fix, to make a team more solid. I always go back to when Redknapp took over and he said Spurs are too soft and he almost immediately made us harder to beat and we finished the season with the best home defensive record in the league despite finishing 8th.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

It’s both. We concede too many goals for all of them to be individual errors/mistakes. Forget the stats, how often do you watch us and think yeah we look solid today?

But he would still ultimately be in charge of the club. As much as him stepping away from the football side is a good thing, for me it’s not enough. It’s similar to when Wenger was hanging around at Arsenal like a bad smell and some were saying he should resign from the manager position but move...

Shocking that Baleforce would like a post that says a Liverpool player is overrated 😂 I think he’d be an upgrade on Vicario who just makes the team nervous on set pieces.

No argument that it’s tough to win. I said in my post to @braineclipse that heads of companies don’t typically last as long as Levy has and whilst it’s not unheard of, he has gone well beyond the tenure of a person who sits at the top of a company.

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

It’s been said before that not many big companies keep the same person in charge for 20+ years. The average tenure of a CEO is between 5-10 and about 8 for Fortune 500 companies. Levy is already well beyond that as we know, yes I know his CEO isn’t his job title but he effectively runs the club...

Just seems a bit naive to think it’s eventually going to work when it hasn’t for 20+ years. Maybe you are the most patient person in the world would you be happy with being what we are now and what we have been for the the last 10-15 years even if we don’t win anything? Let’s say the next 10...

Watched Paddington in Peru and really enjoyed it! Also saw Juror #2 at the weekend. Proper old school, entertaining movie for grown ups. To think Clint Eastwood is 94 and still making great movies is incredible!

I’d say we started to turn the corner under Jol. We became a consistent team under Redknapp and real challengers under Poch. I guess the question is how long do people accept being at this level of being close but not close enough? Interesting that people want to dispense with players and...

Yeah I think most right minded people would agree they’ve done great to get us competing again but we can’t continue indefinitely with the same owners/model if it doesn’t eventually get us over the line. If the manager or the players aren’t getting the job done then eventually they are replaced.

Stick with the model that hasn’t got us over the line you mean?

BIG DECISIONS RE: PLAYERS - SOME SPECULATIVE FUN

Exactly. “Only winning” 1 CL and 1 PL doesn’t sound as much compared to previous Liverpool teams or the current City team but winning one of everything (including domestic cups) is still not to be sniffed at.

BIG DECISIONS RE: PLAYERS - SOME SPECULATIVE FUN

Rice has made them better IMO, how much better is debatable but he was an upgrade on what they had previously. Liverpool also won 2 league cups and an FA cup but a case can be made that they didn’t win as much as they should have. Agree United are not an example we should be following.

BIG DECISIONS RE: PLAYERS - SOME SPECULATIVE FUN

I would also upgrade on Vicario. I wouldn’t cut Maddison just yet but he needs do to a lot more and win his place back. I’d love to sign Kelleher. Bissouma is fine as a squad player but we need a top quality DM.
