    Excellent post. I was about to say something similar about social media being the nexus of the problem. Nobody stares at google maps for hours (unless you are lost I guess) but the social media apps are setup to exploit our succeptability to the 'small rewards' model.

    But yet record numbers of early voters are showing up. I believe it is only the DNC engaging in the ground game (door knocking). The Trumps have taken over the RNC and have used all the money on Trump's legal bills. This will hurt them.
