Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Twice!.... Though I'm not sure that is true as didn't Arsenal finish above Emirates Marketing Project the year that Leicester won it?

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I was definitely in a pretty small minority when lots of Spurs fans were saying 'I hope they keep Arteta'. I really wanted them to sack him and have to start all over again as I could see that he was implementing an effective pattern of play that some of his team weren't suited to playing but...

Good point. I've been impressed by what I have seen of Berjeeval so far and am looking forward to seeing more of him in the first team

Liverpool's first choice to replace Klopp was Alonso so it wasn't the Liverpool job he was waiting for specifically.

Romero brought himself into line with two of the other three. It was only Dragusin chasing back that meant Romero didn't bring himself into line with the whole back four.

He was a great appointment to succeed Klopp as there are lots of similarities to the way he gets his teams playing. I think one of the reasons why he hasn't made many signings there so far is that the Liverpool team he inherited were basically the perfect players for his Feyenoord tactics. It...

He wasn't particularly interested in joining us was the word on the agents grapevine. His release fee could've been negotiated down if he had expressed a desire in wanting to join us.

We tried to get Slot prior to getting Ange but he decided to play it safe and it wait out at Feyenoord.

In many ways we already had 'The One" in place previously. Despite having loads of credit in the bank he was given 12 PL games of the new season before getting the sack. Despite having far less credit in the bank, I suspect Ange will be given the courtesy of that amount of time before the...

It is nowhere near that easy. You're asking for a centre back to make sure they get to the ball before the centre forward, while going towards their own goal and making sure they don't divert it into their own goal. As attackers tend to be faster than defenders, this isn't easy.

I always felt that Emirates Marketing Project tended to rely on very intricate patterns around the box, using lots of passing triangles, going in and then back out and then in again and eventually pulling the ball back to somebody free, as opposed to Ange's tactic of putting an early cross in. I can't really...

One could also possibly argue here that Saudi Sportswashing Machine would've been offside if Dragusin had taken a line with the other 3 defenders.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

If I compare our performance yesterday with the one up at St James' Park last season then I'd say we have improved MASSIVELY. We got dismantled last year, second best all over the park. The complete opposite of yesterday. I'd say the last time we beat a similar level opponent was Aston Villa...

We have lost/drawn more games that have been 'iffy' the other way so I would never worry about that part. The 44 points from 31 games is worrying though. Firm midtable form.

We aren't playing like Emirates Marketing Project do. I think you misunderstand the way that Ange is setting us up to play the game. Ange's system doesn't necessarily need 'dribbly wingers' He just needs wingers who can do two things: 1. Get in a low cross between the keeper and the opposition defenders. 2...
